We are off to Disneyland!

I am sure you all have seen those Disney Resorts Commercials where parents tell their kids they are going to Disney World right?  Well, I have to admit when you see that face from your own child it makes your heart melt.

Two days ago my husband called our girls into out bedroom to “talk” to them. When he said “Well on Friday we are going down to Disneyland!” The faces of my children were absolute bliss. That look of surprise and excitement was something a mom will never forget.

And I know tomorrow I may even get teary eyed when my daughters see who they love and have admired all of their little lives.

Disney has become a huge part of our family, we sit on the weekends and watch some of our favorite movies. Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. (just to name a few).  The first time Samantha saw the Disney Princess’ (she was 3) it was truly magical. Her eyes bugged out, her jaw dropped and she ran… as fast as she could to the princess’.

Right now the girls and I are sitting in a Hotel room anxiously waiting for tomorrow to arrive and spend a fun filled day at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure! Next Month Disney Resorts will unveil their Soundsational Summer!

As families prepare for their 2011 summer vacations, the Disneyland Resort announces grand opening dates for several, highly-anticipated new attractions and family experiences.

The all-new “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade” will bring a new beat to the streets of Disneyland Park beginning May 27. Also at Disneyland park, guests will once again visit galaxies far, far away with the opening of Star Tours, The Adventures Continue, on June 3.

At Disney California Adventure Park, the expansion continues with the June 3 grand opening of The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. Guests will also find some exciting changes at the Disneyland Hotel this spring.

May 27 premiere: All new for 2011, “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade” officially steps off for Memorial Day weekend with an explosive musical score, thrilling rhythms and bold percussion that will have guests dancing to many of their favorite Disney tunes. Live musicians will amplify the fun, and colorful dancers will entertain guests to the beat of a syncopated drum line, twinkling cymbals and steel drums. Mickey Mouse and his pals will be jamming like never before, riding down Main Street, U.S.A. on whimsical float units.

Grand opening June 3: At Disney California Adventure park, get ready for an all-new voyage with one of Disney’s most beloved characters, Ariel. 1. Shat a fun surprise for the girls! I’ve never been to Disney Land but I can only image how fun this is going to be for them. I can wait to read how your trip went when you get back (and see pics)

  2. That is so wonderful, we are leaving a week from today. It will be our first time at Disneyland. The kids are so excited.

  3. Yay, Disney in April, how splenderiffic! Have tons of fun, I’d love to be anywhere in April…but most def. I’d love to be in CA. I’m tired of dreary weather and Disney is a blast!

  4. I hope to be able to one day tell my kids we are going to Disney! Hope you all have a great time!

  5. I do get all mushy when those commercials play…our kids were lucky enough to go on ONE vacation their whole lives about 5 years ago to Disney….they were 5, 7, 12, and 17(the youngest 4 of 6) . I now look at those commercials and hope that my grandkids will be able to go. With the economy and those out of jobs now, I truly wonder how people can do it. Disney is something all kids deserve to go to…it’s the ultimate fun for kids and adults too! Hope you have fun and cant wait to see how the trip was for you all!

  6. I haven’t been to Disneyland in a while. I’m so excited for all of these changes…especially the Little Mermaid.
