I will admit that I have been rather lazy the past two months in the exercise and fitness aspect of life. I have been so busy with the kids activities and the Holidays that I just didn’t have a spare minute, plus we had a lot of snow so it kept me from getting outside.

I know you might be thinking “what an excuse.. so what, other people run in snow” and you are right, but I also have a baby I HAVE to take with me on my jogs so I have to be careful on how cold it is for her sake.

I have been a fan of Kashi for a while and was excited to hear of the new Chocolate Chip Chia Kashi Crunchy Granola & Seed Bars and Kashi Crunchy Granola & Seed Bars, Honey Oat Flax.

The Honey Oat and Flax bars also have quinoa which combine with whole-grain goodness in a totally new, crunchy way. The Crunchy Granola & Seed bars have 320mg ALA omega 3 per serving, fiber and honey to make them uniquely delicious and satisfying.


While the chia seeds and quinoa combined with whole-grain and also have 320mg ALA omega 3 per serving. Plus the chocolate chips make them even tastier!

What I like about the new Kashi Bars is they taste good! I love them as a snack and so does all the kids! For me though they are a great afternoon snack after my workouts. Each pack of bars is 180 calories too. To me they are a well deserved treat after working out or as a nighttime snack.

    I usually buy Nature Valley – Honey & Oats and Peanut Butter.

  3. I really like Kashi cereal, but never tried the bars. I feel so much better when I eat their products. I feel healthy!

  4. I love granola bars but have never tried kashi.They sound so much healthier and not loaded with the sugar like some others

  5. Kashi cereal was actually recommended to me when I had gastric bypass surgery for the extra protein. I am totally into stuff like this!!
