I still can not believe that my little boy is already five months old. I feel that time is just flying by so fast and I am trying to savor and hold onto ever little moment I can with him. Every time he achieves a new milestone I am so excited for him.

I still remember that very first day home with Mikey and I have a few tips for a great Formula for Happiness and bonding with your newborn.  The first day with Mikey  was home just a few hours after he was born, the perks of having your baby at a Birth Center. It was absolutely wonderful to just be in my own bed with Mikey and getting to know each other. Cuddles, nursing and looking at every single detail of my little guy. That first day is exhausting yet it goes by so incredibly fast!

One way I found to be a great way to bond and get stuff done is Babywearing! I totally agree that babywearing is a great way to Formula for Happiness when you are trying to still care for other children and keep a happy newborn.

Baby needs to also bond with Daddy and Siblings! Mikey is already in love with his family. Everyone spends time with him each day talking to him and singling to him!

Lastly, because Newborns grow soooo incredibly fast take photos! Take lots of photos. Of their little hands, feet, back of their head. If you can hire a photographer to take month photos do it!!! Here are a few of the professional photos from birth to 4 months of Mikey.

  1. Gerber has such amazing resources for first time and seasoned parents- I love that they are offering a free sleep coach consultation now! I don’t think any parent can ever get enough snuggles with their newborn!

  2. Take a million pictures!! I wish I’d taken more…no one will ever say, “Geez, I wish we didn’t have so many baby pictures.” You will hear, “Geez, I wish we had more baby pictures.” Trust me!

  3. Sooooo precious! Your little guy is beyond cute. My one regret is that I didn’t take more pictures when the girls were babies. I wish I had gotten professional photos like the ones you have in your post.

  4. Those first months are truly miraculous. There’s nothing in this world like forming that first-time bond with your baby.

  5. I do a lot of cuddling with my new babies. I seriously can’t handle them out of my site for the first few weeks. And yes, LOTS of photos are necessary! They grow up way too fast.

  6. The early stages of parenthood can be so rewarding yet so overwhelming. I always did my best to savor every moment since time goes far too fast.

  7. I love that gerber has this option to help new moms. I remember feeling so alone and confused at times, this would have been so helpful. Thanks for sharing.

  8. He looks so precious. Congratulations on the new baby! Definitely take some time to enjoy these early days!

  9. Babywearing is a fantastic way to bond with your baby. It lets you do all the things you need to get done and keep your baby close. The time really flies by.

  10. What an adorable baby!I miss the newbie and baby days! My son just grew out of diapers this week!
