Yoursphere: Spheres
This week as part of the Test Drive Team for Yoursphere we were asked to have our tweens join some spheres, comment, create their own spheres and get to know the site a little more.
Sam has had fun making friends and joining in discussions. So far she has joined Music, Webkinzs and Fashion. She told me that Music is her favorite and that there are pictures of Taylor Swift, Music Videos to watch and polls.
As a parent, when you log into Yoursphere you can see all the Spheres. A sphere is a group where friends with like-minded interests like sports, music, fashion, gaming, academics, performing arts and more, interact. Yoursphere members can join any sphere, and can create their own – about anything they wish, and invite their friends.
Members can get a feel for what’s inside all the spheres by checking out their home pages. Here you can see what’s going on, what’s new, who has joined, what the latest posts are. You cna also see what your tween has posted.
I like that only kids can see each other’s profiles.
Yoursphere also allows kids to enter fun contests. Sam is bummed because she hasn’t won anything yet, but I told her to just keep trying.
