Yoursphere: Social Networking For Tweens

I was recently chosen to be a Yoursphere.com Test Drive Mom.  Not only am I excited to learn more about this site but Samantha is excited about being able to get online, chat with other kids and play games.

Yoursphere is for children 18 and younger.  It is a a membership based, safety-first social network for kids and teens. It costs… NOTHING!! That’s right Yoursphere is free!

Yoursphere is about supporting the positive, age-appropriate interests of our children by engaging them in purposeful activities in a social networking community while educating them about good online citizenship and internet safety. We proactively protect our members privacy and their access to the content, the culture and the people that intend them harm in the other communities that were created by, and intended for, adults.

I am excited to test out the site with Samantha. One feature I already like is that when I log into the parent dashboard I can see all of Samantha’s activities on yoursphere.

“I wrote this review while participating in the Yoursphere Test Drive program by Mom Central on behalf of Yoursphere. I received a free lifetime Gold membership on Yoursphere.com, Yoursphere t-shirts, and a $50 American Express gift card to facilitate my review.”

I really like that they make it easy for parents to monitor their kids.

Will be checking this out now. My 11 yr old has been asking me for a facebook page but I want something geared to her age. Thanks for this info!
