Who is your Hero Mom?

When I heard about the Allstate Life Insurance Hero Mom story contest I couldn’t wait to share about it. Although it was hard to find a way to share about my Hero Mom.

When I think of a “Hero” mom so many women come to mind. I guess I’d like to be thought of a Hero Mom, and I guess if you asked my kids they would say I was.

My Hero Mom is the amazing women I met this past winter. We had all met because we were expecting a baby in July. The few weeks that followed our meeting was devestating. Each of us misscarried these precious babies and our worlds crumbled. It was these moms who got me through the winter months. Their strength and encouragment made each day better and easier to move forward.

And most are all expecting again. Each of these women have gone through heart ache and struggles to become a mom, either for the first time or again. They are my strength, and I am so blessed to have these women as my friends.

As each of these ladies welcomes their baby into the world, these babies we like to call “rainbows” rainbows because it’s the happiness after a storm I am overcome with so many emotions. From the heartbreak that ended 2010 to joy and excitement.

Perhaps you know a heroic mom or see one when you look in the mirror. Share your story and be entered for a chance to win $2,500 cash from Allstate. Plus four runner-ups will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card. *The five finalists will be chosen from the Entries receiving the most votes.
