Valentine’s Day: Books for Toddlers

I am one of those moms who love getting kids something for Valentine’s Day. It’s the day of love and of course I have to show my little sweethearts how much I love them!

This year I love the idea of giving them little love books!  Candlewick Press has some new books that are perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Huggy Kissy By Leslie Patricelli was just released in December.  We actually own quite a few books by Leslie Patricelli and I love them all. This is a great addition to any toddler book collection!

When you’re an adorable bald baby, your family finds lots of ways to show you how much they love you: Mommy lifts you uppy, Daddy kisses you on the tummy, and everyone wants to snuggle. What’s not to love? With comedy and warmth, Leslie Patricelli offers a universal tribute to love and affection in a board book full of instant appeal for little valentines everywhere.

A Kiss Like This By Mary Murphy was also just released in December and makes me think of my Sarah. She loves kisses from Mommy and I can see all my girls enjoying this book, like Sam reading it to the baby.

A giraffe kiss is very tall-just turn the page and see! Elephant kisses are long, of course, while tiny mice and bubbly fish have kisses all their own. U

sing a clever split-page format that makes for charming surprises, author-illustrator Mary Murphy shares a series of animal kisses that are sure to have babies and toddlers gurgling, giggling, smiling, and leaning over for their kisses, too.

You can purchase these books on amazon or at Barnes and Noble.
