On Wednesday November 3rd I flew to Ohio for the wonderful Smucker’s Event. This event was a smaller group of bloggers and I have to say I really felt that we all connected and had such a wonderful time together.
Two of the moms have their own cookbooks, which I can not wait to check out. I got to meet Shannon from TheMommy-Files and see other bloggers who I love! The bloggers who were at the Smucker’s Event were:
– Stacy from Mom Central
– Shannon from TheMommy Files
– Tanya from Mommy Goggles
– Jenny from Picky-Palate
– Jennifer from The Dirty Shirt
– Nicole from Baking Bites
– Nikki from Arts & Lemons and 5 Minutes for Mom
– Erin from 5 Dollar Dinners
I flew in Tuesday night from Texas. Tanya and I flew together and once we got to our hotel rooms we both decided to take bubble baths and crash. I was exhausted from three days of travel and I am so glad I did. I had no idea how busy Wednesday would be for us bloggers!
On Wednesday morning Wendy called me and asked if Tanya and I wanted to join her for breakfast! We gladly accepted and sat around for a few hours chatting away. Stacy from MomCentral joined us and the four of us talked like we were old friends.
Did I mention we woke up to it snowing?! I tried taking a picture but it was light snow. It was so neat!
Around noon we met up with the other bloggers and headed for lunch. We went to the cutest Bistro called Crop.
Lunch was a lot of fun, lots of chatting and delicious food! I ordered the most amazing open face turkey cranberry sandwich on cornbread ever! I could eat it again… and again…and again!
After lunch we headed to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum. The museum was amazing!!! I have to go back with Hubby.
We were split up into two groups and had private tours of the museum not to mention we all were able to go to the Vault! The Vault is where they keep all the inductee’s personal items that are not shown out in the exhibition rooms. In the Vault we were able to see items from Earth Wind and Fire, Bob Marley’s dread Lock, Michael Jackson items, John Lennon’s hand written song lyrics with drawings and cross-outs for Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and My Life and his Guitar. It was fabulous!
I don’t have pictures from inside, but you can check out this awesome video which shows a little bit about the Museum and some of the neat exhibits inside.
Its awesome right? Yeah, I know you all want to travel to Cleveland Ohio now right? Well you should!!!
We spent only a few hours at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum and I wish we could have been there all day.
We were able to head back to the hotel before heading out to dinner. We had about an hour, so I decided to go for a walk (by myself!) and also head over to the mall.
I couldn’t believe how beautiful Ohio was.
For dinner we went to Ken Stewart’s Lodge in Bath, Ohio and it was YUMMY! We mingled with everyone from Smuckers and the fabulous reps from Cohn & Wolfe.
Disclosure: Thank you to Smucker’s and Cohn & Wolfe, who paid for my travel expenses to bring me to Ohio to learn more about the company! I do not accept monetary compensation for reviewing or writing about products or conference events.
