Since the 1940s, Rosarita has been delighting families with authentic Mexican-style refried beans perfect for morning, noon, or night. Using only the highest-quality beans available, Rosarita comes in a variety of flavors: Traditional, No Fat Traditional, No Fat Zesty Salsa, No Fat Green Chili and Lime, Spicy Jalapeño, Vegetarian, and Low Fat Black Bean. Rosarita Enchilada Sauce also is available.
My family actually uses Rosarita for pretty much everything when it comes to “tex-mex style”. I only buy Rosarita refried beans! They to me, taste the best and have the best flavor.
I recently had the chance thanks to Mom Central to try out the Rosarita Salsa. We received all three of the Salsa’s on New Year’s Eve so I took them over to my in laws for our little New Years’ Party. I was very surprised at how yummy the salsa was. It really tastes like it was freshly made.
I was very pleased with the Salsa and I could see us buying it again in the future. Here is a recipe for my favorite food. Tostadas!
Recipe for Chicken Tostadas:
- 2 cups of canned Rosarita refried beans
- Rosarita Salsa
- 2 packages tostadas (6-inch diameter)
- 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 4 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1 cup Queso Fresco (fresh Mexican cheese)
- 1 large, firm ripe avocado, pared, pitted, sliced
- ½ cup sour cream
- Heat refried beans
- Spread onto tostadas
- Apply thin layer of shredded chicken
- Top with thin layer of lettuce
- Top with salsa
- Sprinkle cheese/garnish with cream and avocadoes
The new Rosarita Salsa will be available in four cities — LA, Dallas, Phoenix, and Denver. It will be available at select Walmart and grocery stores.
