Over the last few months I have been sharing ways to talk to your Tween about their period, and how their body changes. And over the months I have become more confident in how to talk to Sam.
Mom central sent us a gift card to take our girls out on a special mom date. I love the idea of taking each girl out each week for a special mom -daughter date and this is definitely something I plan to continue.
If you have a tween daughter what are ways you talk to her, or with her? Do you have mom-daughter dates?
What I have taken from this program is setting up alone time with my girls and just letting them ask any questions they have openly and that they know they can ask anything without embarrassment and knowing whatever is spoken between us, will stay between us.
Of course we will continue our special book. Sam really likes the book because she can ask me questions in the book, in the privacy of her room and she can read my response when she is ready too. She has the options to read it with me there in private.
I like that it keeps an open line of communication between us…. something I never had.
The U by Kotex brand’s abundance of online tools support having the discussion with girls at any age, so they are prepared. Kotex.com/Tween offers an interactive calendar, interaction with other Moms, helpful articles, and Q&A sections. Their U by Kotex Tween product line offers colorful and fun designed pads and liners made to fit smaller sizes yet still have the absorbency and protection necessary for a tween new to her period.
