Pregnancy Week 9
Not much has been going on this past week except that my stomach has doubled in size! oh and I am up a bra size… already!
Still nauseous but the zofran really helps and I am hoping within the next few weeks it will be gone.
Yesterday I used my home doppler and found the heartbeat, well I am like 99% sure this is the baby’s heartbeat.
I am anxious and ready for the 2nd trimester energy to come back! It’s been a long 4 weeks already with this nausea, and after dinner it usually gets bad. I have to be careful on what I eat for dinner because I will get a stomach ache, and nauseous not to mention I burp, and lets just say if I eat anything with garlic I burp garlic and it’s disgusting!
Here is the doppler video I took. You can hear the heartbeat right at the beginning of the video.
Your Baby in Week 9 of Pregnancy
Your little embryo has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Your baby, now the size of a green olive, has grown about an inch since last week. Tiny muscles are beginning to form, so while he might not be ready to pump iron, he’s gearing up to move his arms and legs. It’s still too soon to feel anything in your belly, but you might be able to hear something at your next checkup. Try listening for your baby’s heartbeat via a Doppler device — that welcome sound should be audible anytime now.
Fingers crossed that you start to feel better soon.
I LOVE that sound!!! It makes my heart just smile! That is so cool you have your own doppler. I have never heard of anyone outside of medical clinics having these. I wish we had one!
So hoping the nausea will stop soon for you. I remember those days x6. Keep your eye on the “prize” Mandy. It’s always so amazing!!!
Wow that is cool to have your own Doppler to hear the heart beat 🙂
that’s a cool devise. the heartbeat serves as a reminder that pregnant women really have to take care of themselves even when it gets hard.
I got one from babydoppler.com as well! I love it! Just being able to hear my little one’s heartbeat and knowing that they are safe is the best feeling ever.
