Pregnancy week 26

YAY last week of month 6 and then the 3rd Trimester and month 7! I also have less than 99 days until my due date. WOOT!

Lets see, the past few days Shelby has not been that active, I am wondering if she is going through a growth spurt or something. My stomach has grown and I am sad to say I have started getting a few stretch marks on my stomach…. I never got any with the other girls. BOO!

Oh and the comments have started…. my friends are telling me I look so little for being basically 7 months, but then I get the comments like “suck that baby in” …. I just walk away from the rude ones. I am sure I’ll get PLENTY more of them. I know people mean well, but sometimes they just don’t think.

oh how about the one “kids are so much work, why the heck do you want another one?” ….

or, “ohhh….. another girl huh…. I bet you wanted a boy right? I guess that means you guys will go for #4?” ……

Your Baby in Week 26 of Pregnancy

What’s up with your baby? She now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.. And this week, her eyes, which until now were developing under fused eyelids, start to open. Of course, there’s not much to see in there, but if your baby spots a bright light (or hears a loud noise) near your belly, you may notice an increase in fetal activity. (“Hey, I’m in here, Mommy! Where’s the party!”) What accounts for that response? Her brain is more developed and sophisticated.

I don’t think you look small for 7 months, but rather right on track. Sometimes I think people get caught up on the whole “month” timeline. You still have 3 full months to get huge 😀 Congrats on getting to the 3rd trimester! It seems like yesterday I was there and DD is now 2 months old!

Congrats! I think you look great, and as far as those rude people, oh well unfortunately there are always a few in the bunch. I know the deal with oh.. its a girl again comment. I have 3 girls and the last one was a boy. Everyone thought I just kept having kids til I got a boy.. untrue,, I had kids until I knew in my heart my family was complete :). I thought 4 was a good number for me :), so hence I had 4 :).

  9. I remember when I was pregnant I was not happy about it at all and could not wait for it to be over. The indigestion, the diabetes tne fear, the abuse. We made it through and I now have a feisty 16 month old with such a personality. She was born 3lbs 7 oz and 5 weeks early but what a little fighter. Right now she is watching Barbie and building with her blocks and dancing. LOL

  10. Oh and congratulations — Hi Shelby little one — from Lila (My baby)

During my pregnancy, I tend to mood type. I always sleep and eat a lot. I eat on veges and fruits. But I hate soft drinks that is why, My tummy not too big even in 9 mos. I don’t have any lines in my belly after giving birth.
