Pregnancy Week 15

I really can not believe I’ll be 16 weeks pregnant on Thursday! I have been waiting to get this far for what seems like forever! I have anxiously been waiting to feel this little one move around and for the past three days I have felt little pokes. Sure, I have only felt it once or twice a day but when I do it takes me by surprise and hope to feel it again. I know it’s only a matter of weeks until this baby is moving all over the place!

This week I am also feeling a lot better, I know I said that last week but I feel even better. I am still really tired but it’s getting better.

Tomorrow I have my next midwife appt. I’m sure all she is going to do is listen to the baby on the doppler and go over my diet.

Sarah this week has been hugging my belly and talking to the baby. Samantha tried to “listen” to the baby today which cracked me up. Sarah loves to just pat my stomach and say “hi baby”.

On Sunday we are hoping to find out the baby’s gender! I’ll be 16.5 weeks so I hope we are able to find out!!

oh, smells still bug me bad! but I am starting to be able to eat more foods without them making me gag. But when I brush my teeth I still gag… everytime.

I think I’m up a total of 3 lbs now too which is right in the middle for my weight. I also love that I have lost some of my pre-pregnancy belly fat. The top of my stomach is hard and it’s getting rounder and not as flabby.

MIDWIFE APPT UPDATE:

I wanted to add my 15W5D appt update. It went great. I am up 3lbs, and my uterus is already at my belly button, which is also why my stomach is getting hard.  My fundal height was 23cm. So instead of measuring 16 weeks I am measuring 20 weeks. My midwife is not concerned right now, but does want to see me in 3 weeks.

Your Baby in Week 15 of Pregnancy

One way to deal with the havoc of pregnancy hormones: Focus on how much is happening with your baby. She’s about the size of an orange this week, her ears have migrated to the sides of her head, and her eyes are moving to the front of her face. Plus, your little smarty-pants can now wiggle her fingers and toes and make breathing movements in preparation for life outside the womb.

Actually I have one for every week, except 14 weeks. I completely forgot. I have them all on FF. I love belly pics even with my chubby tummy now lol.

I look forward to your pregnancy updates. I love how your 2 sweet girls talk to and listen to their new sibling. My granddaughter used to do that a lot before her little sister came and it was so touching. One day she excitedly told me the baby told her she was a girl. She wanted a sister so much. The day after her little sister was born she told her parents that now she is ready for a baby brother. Her Mommy (my daughter) told her she needs to wait for a while and then she was happy to open my gift for her: a Big Sister shirt I had ordered. 🙂
