New Year’s Eve: Party Poppers

What’s a party without a popper? These fun little gifts can be filled with anything you want! Toys, candy… anything really! I thought they would be fun to make in coordinating paper to match the Noise Makers. These too are simple to make and you can even have the kids help!

What you need:

  • Toilet paper roll
  • 12 x 12 sheet of colored or printed paper (can use tissue paper too)
  • Scotch tape
  • candy, toys, trinkets
  • filler (if you want)
  • ribbon to tie the ends

I started with a 12 x 12 sheet of paper, since I was making two it was the perfect size. I folded the paper in half so it ended up being 6 x 12 and cut it. I then had two equal pieces of paper.

You can cute the toilet paper tube in half or leave it whole and stuff it with the filler and candy/toys/trinkets.

After you fill the tubes, roll the paper around the tube and using scotch tape, tape the paper together.

I thought it would look cute to cute the ends of the paper, and then I just tied ribbon around the paper right at the end of the toilet paper roll.

Tie off the other end and your done!

What a cute idea and something that anyone can do, especially my non-crafty self!

These are perfect to give to each child guest at my granddaughters’ next birthday parties. Thanks!

aww they ARE really cute. I also thought how fun to do for a birthday party for table decorations and goodie gifts instead of bags.

I had never even considered making these, and yours look much cuter (and like they’re filled with better stuff) than the store-bought ones!
