Netflix Instant Streaming Disc for Wii *Giveaway*

For the past year we have been using our Roku to watch Netflix. In fact I am using it right now. It’s probably something I use on a daily basis and the best way to spend 9 dollars a MONTH! Netflix members who are also owners of a Wii console will be able to instantly watch thousands of movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix directly to their TVs. The service will be enabled by a free, instant-streaming disc that is being made available to all Netflix members who have a plan starting at $8.99 a month. This extends the Wii as a gaming console and while most Wii systems are kept in the living room, offers families a variety of entertainment options!

To enable their systems to stream content from Netflix, Wii owners will need a Netflix instant-streaming disc for the Wii console, which will be available at no additional cost to Netflix subscribers. The free disc looks and operates the same as a disc-based Wii game, and the entire user experience will feel natural and intuitive to Wii console owners. Netflix members and Wii console owners can now reserve a free instant-streaming disc by going to www.netflix.com/Wii. Once available, the discs will be delivered for free by first-class mail.

When the instant-streaming disc is inserted into a member’s Wii system, an array of movie and TV choices will be displayed right on their TV screen. These titles will be conveniently organized into a variety of categories based on members’ personal preferences and will include popular genres, new arrivals and members’ individual instant Queues. Using the Wii Remote™ controller, members will be able to choose a movie or TV episode to watch from their instant Queues or pick one directly from any of the lists. They will also have the ability to read synopses and rate movies, and will have the option of fast-forwarding and rewinding their selection.

I received the Wii streaming disc free of charge, along with 3 months free Netflix service.

WIN
ONE winner who owns a Wii will receive the Wi Streaming Disc and 3 month membership to Netflix.

We had planned to purchase the Roku, but just never got around to it. And then we saw this and thought perfect. Another wonderful use for our Wii. We love to watch movies, but the movie channels tend to be pricy and play the same movies over and over again. This will be perfect for our family.

The whole idea is very exciting! We currently run into town to pick up movies that we want to watch and sometimes we end up with a movie that we didn’t want. To be able to have the movie we want to watch instantly is like a dream! :-)

Wow – what a great idea! We have a Wii that is mostly used for working out and sometimes games or party entertainment, but having it also able to stream Netflix movies would be very cool. Being able to stream the movies would solve those problems.
