My American Girls
Sarah received her very first Amercan Girl Doll today. Both the girls (including me) received Bitty baby Dolls when they were toddlers, and now Sarah has her very own “Sarah” Doll.
We decided to name her “Sarah” because Samantha has the “Samantha American Girl Doll”. We bought “Samantha” weeks before they retired her.

Do you have an american doll store close to you. I am fortunate enough to live close to an American doll store, and I have taken my god daughter there many times, to her delight.
My daughter LOVED her American Girl dolls when she was younger (she’s a bit too old now at 13 to get as much enjoyment, so we kept the dolls, their original clothes and accessories, and a few favorites and Freecycled the rest to a little girl who had a doll but nothing else to go with it).

My girls got their dolls several years ago when they were 6 and 8, respectively. They both got “Kirsten” and the dolls were their constant companions for many years. Now they have honored places in their rooms. How exciting to see your girls with their new dolls!
Aren’t they the neatest dolls? I always wanted one when I was a little girl. I hope my next child will be a girl so I can buy her one and Mommy can play with her American girl ;D

omg! I remember in fifth grade american girl dolls were the craze!! any one that was any one had one! ALL i wanted for Christmas was the American Girl Doll Molly! I remember them being kinda pricey and my mom struggled with a dead end job..It brings me to tears to think..But she got me that Molly doll even though we really couldn’t afford it! This post def brought back some memories, of better times ..when having an American Girl doll was by biggest worry in life!!..Aww how I miss childhood lol

I used to LOVE the American Girl series when I was a kid! I’m glad they’re still around for my daughter to enjoy when she’s a little older!
