Moms Don’t Get Sick – but when we do there is Amwell! #momsloveamwell

I recently talked about how I turned to using Amwell for myself but since then I have had the chance to use the services again with a primary care physician for myself.  Let’s face it – moms don’t have time to be sick, let alone go to the doctor’s office.

With Amwell, you can see a doctor immediately from the comfort of your own home. That means no more traffic, waiting rooms, or rescheduling—just you, your device (smartphone, tablet or computer) and a doctor.   Better health is now in the palm of your hands – with Amwell. With two young children at home I don’t want to take myself to the doctor on nothing either. I love that I can video chat with a physician about my concerns.

I love that with Amwell you can see a doctor anytime on your iPhone or iPad. Amwell brings healthcare home, so that you and your family can feel better, faster. You can log into your Amwell account from anywhere too.

Doctors on Amwell are board certified, with an average of 15 years in practice. They are available 24/7, with no appointment needed.

Have a question to ask a doctor? Get the care you need quickly – typical issues include:

  • Bronchitis
  • Cough
  • Sinus infection
  • Sore throat
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Fever
  • Pinkeye
  • Flu
  • Sprains and strains
  •  Cold
  • Respiratory infection
  • Headache
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Weight concerns

Just choose the type of visit you are looking for and select a provider.

Then you fill out your information:

Amwell is accepted by many major insurers, with more added every day.  Enter your health insurance information for a lower cost visit.  Then you are ready to talk to a physician.

Why do I like Amwell? I can get help right away with out making an appointment and then waiting hours to be seen. If my child is coughing bad, or high fever with puking I can speak with a physician right away to find out the best ways to treat them, or myself.

Here are my top three reasons why I like Amwell!

  1. Convenience.  Consumers are looking for a faster appointment.  Now they don’t need to schedule an appointment nor do they need to wait to be seen, especially if on vacation or business travel. The doctor can be seen from the comfort and convenience of their own home. obtain common primary care prescriptions.
  2. Quick prescriptions. Consumers would rather have an online video visit than an in-office visit to average,
  3. Peace of mind. Rather than self-diagnosing or visiting a social forum for medical advice, users can obtain second opinions directly from board certified, licensed doctors.

I have not tried this as of yet. We have convenient care that we go to… and well to be honest, when I get sick I usually just push through and pretend I am not sick. lol. Who has time for mom to get sick?

I like that this service is 24/7. More pluses for me is you can get a doctor’s answers without fighting traffic, driving in bad weather or long waits at my doctor’s office. Amwell sounds great and very convenient by using my iPad.
