Komar/PJs For the Cure *Giveaway closed*
November marks the beginning of National Diabetes Awareness Month- a perfect time to raise awareness about a disease that affects more than 15,000 US children each year. Type I Diabetes develops in children and young adults and prevents a person’s pancreas from producing insulin, a hormone that enables your body to get energy from food. Difficult to manage, Diabetes requires constant monitoring and influences many aspects of daily life.
Sleepwear manufacturer, Komar, has created a fun way to raise funds to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) through its non-profit foundation, PJs For The Cure, pajama sets that directly benefit the JDRF.
Through this program, Komar will donate 100% of all sales from PJs For The Cure to the JDRF to help fund diabetes research. With styles for both women and children, you can combine philanthropy with holiday gift giving! Komar aims to donate $1 million to the JDRF and they need your help to reach this aggressive, but not impossible goal.
PJs For The Cure has a Facebook Page. Please go check it out and don’t forget to “Like” it!
You can check out the adorable styles on the PJs For The Cure website.

ONE winner will receive a pair of PJs. Winner can choose one pair for boy, girl or womens.

I HELPED AN AUTISTIC BOY I WORK WITH GET NEEDED ITEMS FOR HIS APARTMENT.
I always put lots of money into that red kettle.
My son received some duplicate toys for his birthday. Instead of exchanging them for new toys, I will donate them to Toys for Tots. Also, my son’s daycare always sponsors families in need (each classroom gets 1 family). I will pick a family member and buy the 1 item on their “need” and 1 on their “wish” list. Closer to home, I am giving my Sister In Law some coats, sweatshirts and sweatpants. Her heater is out and they can’t afford to repair it so they use space heaters when it gets cold in the evening. Man, do I feel so fortunate after writing this…

We’ve chosen an angel from the angel tree at school. My girls have been putting all of their money in the jar to buy for this angel. My girls had the choice of buying something for each other or buying for an angel and they choose the angel. I’m very proud of my girls. thank you!

I know it’s just a little thing, but we don’t have children our selves, but make sure to donate books (something we love) for others’ children.
We give some toys to Toys for Tots. I think it’s so much for to pick out toys for little kids in need, and imagine how much they’ll love receiving them on Christmas day!
we volunteer at must ministries!! its a great experience for our kids!!

We always do various Angel trees for kids who are less fortunate. My kids love helping pick out gifts for other kids so that they can have Christmas.
I run the giving tree at our church and end up taking and filling quite a few of the hard to fill tags like the elderly in a nursing home or teenagers.

We’ll donate some non-perishables but the main thing will be putting together a huge care package for my mother in law who really needs it this year.
By donating to a few different causes-a little girl in Guatemala we will send a special amount for her Christmas, and help some people out here who need it by giving food and clothing.
