Kleenex Tips for Beating Colds and Flus

February sure has been the month for colds! With the crazy temperatures and the snow storms it has been hard keeping warm and bundled up!

My two youngest kiddos suffered from some major colds and coughs. They baby would have snot jut running from her nose!  Even I had my share of a nasty cold! I made sure back in December to stock up on Kleenex for cold and flue season and I am glad I did!

I like to have a box of Kleenex anywhere that there is a sink that way everyone can wash their hands after blowing their nose or sneezing. Having a box in all bathrooms and the kitchen allows everyone to know where to find some!

We also encourage hand washing frequently, this helps cut the germs being transferred from around the house.

another huge thing I have is that I ask everyone to take off their shoes before coming into our living space. I truly believe that this also helps cut the germs, just think what your shoes track into your home! We have a designated shoe space and disinfect it regularly!

Disinfecting wipes are also a staple for me! I use them all over the house and even on floors, especially around the toilets. I think a clean home is key to keeping germs at bay.

But of course even the cleanest homes can’t fight off Colds and Flus! When we know a cold or the flu is coming we up our Vitamin C intake and turn on a humidifier, depending on if it’s winter or summer we use either a cool mist or warm mist. We also bundle up. lots of sweaters, socks and warm blankets. Nothing is better than snuggling on the couch with a warm blanket!

This cold and flu season, make the care complete with Kleenex® brand, and together we’ll turn a seemingly small gesture into something bigger, to make everyone feel better.

  1. Good tips.. this year has been tough with all the germs! I regularly wipe down surfaces with disinfecting wipes – like door knobs and light switches.
