Kids Room Organizing

I always get scared when it comes to cleaning the girls room. But what I found is that they have TOO much stuff, and it is just EVERY WHERE! By moving things around and getting everything organized it seems the girls are keeping their room cleaner.

One thing that I love in the girls room is their closet. They have tons of shelves in it and it a nice size. So I was able to organize some of Sarah’s favorite toys, the girls shoes and all the books in there.

I moved out the play kitchen and moved it to the end of Sarah’s bed to make a little Kitchen area.

I also think one of the first things you should do is weed out the broken toys, and toys the kids don’t play with anymore. But do this when the kids aren’t there!

Making areas for toys is probably the best thing for kids. We also put hooks up behind their door for Sarah’s dress up clothes. Or Ballet stuff as she likes to call it. We also organized the tutus inside the Armoire.

Another thing I have been doing with Sam is keeping her toy box/rack organized. I try and show her that she needs to keep them in their own bin. From doll house items, to Polly Pockets, and My Little Pony. This way when they want to play with one set of toys they can grab the right bin, and when they are done they can put it away more easily.

Organization is the key to a functional room!
