Great Baby Products from Jeep *Giveaway*
With flu season underway, it’s critical that parents take steps to keep their children healthy and help prevent the spread of both the seasonal flu and the H1N1 virus (also known as the swine flu). While parents are still going about their daily lives, they are looking for tips and products that will fit seamlessly into their lives yet help protect their children.
One easy solution to reduce baby’s risk of being exposed to the flu while running errands is to use the Jeep Shopping Cart Cover. This large shopping cart cover fits easily over the entire shopping cart seat, allowing for total protection from germs and bacteria often found on them. The Jeep Shopping Cart Cover features a 3-point safety harness to keep baby secure, extra padding in the seat and back area, loops to attach teethers and small toys and a “roll and stroll” design for easy portability. It’s even machine-washable so it’s simple to stay germ-free!

Great Tips to help prevent the spread of the flu:
- Get yourself and your child vaccinated with the flu shot
- Wash hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least twenty seconds (the time it takes to sing the “ABC” song)
- Use hand sanitizer when on the go, especially after being in public spaces with shared surfaces, such as escalator handrails, elevator buttons and door handles
- Attach a lightweight receiving blanket to the edge of a car seat or stroller sun shade to act as an extra shield against airborne germs, especially when passing through crowded public places such as an airport, grocery store or shopping mall
- Keep a distance, at least two steps away, from people who are sick
- Parents need to take care of themselves too – keep your hands away from eyes, nose and mouth to limit the spread of germs and cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing with your elbow or a tissue
- Wipe down solid surfaces at home with a chemical-free cleanser and wash toys frequently – they can even be put in the top rack of a dishwasher!
- Use the Jeep Shopping Cart Cover to limit baby’s exposure to germs
You can keep all your baby or toddler’s stuff organized and kept clean in the Jeep Exploration Diaper Bag. Perfect for mom or dad, the Jeep Exploration Diaper Bag organizes all of baby’s essentials with a large interior zippered compartment for convenient storage. A front flap pocket provides quick storage for smaller necessities while the side pockets are great for holding bottles. The stylish orange interior compartment boasts two additional bottle pockets, an easy-to-clean divider pocket and a removable changing pad.

We’re trying to keep our family healthy by sanitizing our house. Seriously, the way germs and viruses are flying around lately, I just want to keep my kids protected from it all by cleaning all the surfaces constantly with eco-friendly cleaners.

Constant hand washing with soap & water at home, use hand sanitizer when we’re on the go, increase our citrus fruits and juices to get more Vit. C, try to get 7-8 hours of sleep nightly, ask friends & relatives not to visit if they’re sick and we do the same for them. I used to think Howie Mandel’s phobia of germs was excessive but when news of swine flu hit, I found that I’m reticent to shake hands. Maybe when we greet one another, we should use the Japanese custom of bowing.

One way my family are trying to stay healthy is that I try and cook only home cooked meals with fresh ingrediants where I can control the salt and other added items which you can’t do with pre-made meals!
whenever we come home the first thing we all do is wash our hands. I just today put a bottle of hand sanitizer by our computer and another one in our family room just to remind us to keep our hands clean.
I make sure we all use the hand sanitizer machine in front of the machine. I use it on our hands AND the top part of the cart where I keep my purse, etc.

To stay healthy, I promote eating fruits and veggies everyday. I cook vegetables at every meal and I encourage my daughter to take healthy snacks to school. I also promote washing the hands frequently, especially after playing outside and before every meal. Thanks.

Keeping fruit around the house so we’ll eat that instead of a bag of chips or cookies.
We try to find a balance — obviously keeping our distance from sick people, getting enough rest and hydration, eating well — but also not going so crazy about sanitizing that we end up living in a bubble. Seems to be working so far!
Growing our own organic food ,wash hands often and cook from scratch so I know what we are eating

I keep fruit in the house, plus use a lot of sanitizer on everything you would touch
We wash our hands a ton, including every time we come in from outside, cook, go to the bathroom, or do a diaper change.
Shopping locally for fresh fruits and vegetables gets everyone more involved in the process (especially regular visits to Farmers Markets where you have a chance to get to know the growers) and makes us all more enthusiastic about eating healthy.

I carry antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer along with me at all times and wipe down hands and surfaces whenever possible. It may “look” clean, but chances are it’s not and I feel much better keeping my family safe this way.
When we want to eat out, we go to a restaurant that serves quality food rather than swinging into a fast food drive through.
