I’ve Been Busy Painting…… Thanks Lisa LaPorta!

As most of you know last Thursday Lisa LaPorta from HGTV came to my house and did a consultation with me and helped redesign my living room and dining room! We had a budget and went to Walmart.
The picture to the right is the room I showed Lisa and asked her to help me create (with what I had and our budget).
The first thing we did was stop and get paint! We picked out a really fun color called Tahini by KILZ Paint. We got primer and paint and tons of tools for making painting easier for me!
So today I decided to brave it and try painting a few of the walls by myself! When Hubby came home he was surprised at how well I did the two walls and hallway. (OK, Lisa I know you told me to do the Hallway last but I wanted to get that whole side done first.)
I can’t wait to finish painting and to get the rest of my furniture! Hubby and I plan to also go shopping and pick up some wall art and nick knack stuff.
Lisa and I also talked about me buying canvas and buying paint (red, blue, yellow, white and black) and making my own wall art!

Of course after I am done painting I’ll need to go around and scrub all the baseboards.
