Introducing our Lovebug

My nickname for our sweet little baby is Lovebug. Being due in February I thought it fit perfectly and now it does even more.

The ultrasound was so much fun. It was awesome to see the baby opening and closing the mouth, and then even got hiccups! The baby had it’s hand at it’s face and was spread out in my uterus. Literally, the baby had its head at the top of my uterus where there was no room and it’s legs wiggling around at the bottom.

I used the awesome Betty Crocker Fun da-middles cupcake mix. The Fun da-middles lets you add frosting/filling to the inside. This I thought was perfect for making cupcakes for school. We dyed the inside the color that represented the baby’s gender and I plan to pass them out at work tomorrow.

Of course I had to cut one open to make sure they “worked”

We are so excited to add another little girl to our family! We can not wait for Feb. to get here and meet our little Shelby.

  1. Congrats Amanda & family!
I’m so happy for all of you that you are having another beautiful baby girl! LOVE her name – Shelby.
I also LOVED your cupcakes idea with the filling revealing baby’s gender. 🙂

  2. Congratulations! Cute Idea on dying the inside the color of the gender of lovebug. I have a Baby shower for my daughter in law in Nov and going to borrow your idea on the cupcakes. No else knows the gender yet.. wonder if they will guess if I did this. Thanks for sharing your good news and your cupcake idea.
