How to make a Headband Holder

I am sure you have all seen those cute headband holders on the Internet. I saw different ones on Pinterest and one of my favorites was that on The Ribbon Retreat’s Blog. Of course when I made the one for the girls I didn’t even think about using the inside to hold other hair accessories, so I will have to make another one for that.

  • Oatmeal cylinder
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • 9 1/2″ x 16 1/2″ piece of Fabric (to wrap around the cylinder)
  • 1/4 Yard of Fabric (for your fabric circle flower), or to jsut cover the lid.
  • Ribbon to cover seams

It was really easy, I jsut sued the hot glue to cover the fabric around the cylinder, but I love the idea of using Mod Podge for inside and then to completely cover the outside of the fabric as well.

I covered the id and then glued the entire thing shut, but you can leave it so you Can place clips and other hairbands inside it!

  1. This is awesome, especially for me as a mother of two VERY girly girls! I would love to keep the headbands on the outside and their wide variety of hair bows, clips, etc. inside. PERFECT! Thanks Mandy 🙂

  2. i love this idea! thanks for sharing, this will be fun to make with my oldest daughter!

  3. This is so cute! I saw one like it on Pinterest today – now that I know it actually works, I’ll have to make one myself. 🙂

  4. Great idea! I never thought about using an Oatmeal can. I will have to do this if I ever have a daughter.

  5. What a fabulous (and simple!) idea!!! I especially like that my toddler will be able to get and put away her own hwadbands with this.
