Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was just released by Nintendo and already is a huge hit with my kids! This is a fun game for the entire fmaily to play and is easy for younger players to navigate the game.
One thing that my family loves about the WiiU is that we all get to watch whoever is playing the game from our TV screen while the person playing gets to also use the GamePad. Every day the girls each ask to take turns playing because they are determined to find Toadette!
- Equipped with nothing more than a neck scarf, backpack and oversized head lamp, Captain Toad finds hidden gems, coins and power-ups on his way to the gold star at the end of each tricky, trap-filled stage.
- Captain Toad isn’t particularly fast or strong. He can’t jump and he has no super powers. But he knows that sometimes, it’s all about wits and perspective.
- Twist the camera to reveal hidden locations and other secrets. The Wii U GamePad offers a closer view of the dangers and hidden items in each maze, and its gyro controls can also be used to peer around.
- Captain Toad’s world is brimming with life, with dangerous enemies, tricky platforms, nasty traps and secrets to uncover. Each stage is its own puzzle to solve, and littered throughout are hidden items in hard-to-reach places. Can you help our tiny adventurer survive to find them all?
Sarah’s Thoughts: What I got to do was control it. Once I got to the third level I had to start moving stuff around. There is a lot of adventures you can do. At the first level there is a girl (Toadette) with a star on her necklace and she gets taken by the hawk and then Captain Toad has to find her and all the stars at each level. I liked that I get to find all the stolen treasures.
