Holiday 2012: Cricut Mini

I remember the days of scrap booking and card making, sitting and hand stamping or cutting letters and trying my best to get perfect tags. It was hard, time consuming and frustrating.

Now a days I turn to the Cricut Mini  to make those little things I need. The Cricut Mini makes the perfect gift for anyone who wants an outlet for their creativity, as the possibilities of what can be made are only limited to the extent of their imagination.

Even if you’re new to crafting, this powerful inspiration wonder makes it easier than ever to design, cut, and bring your ideas to life in ways you never thought possible. You can connect to Cricut Craft Room to give your next craft, décor, party, or DIY project a spin that’s entirely you.

The Cricut Mini is the fun and easy way to cut paper, fabric, vinyl, and so much more. Plus, it?s small, lightweight, and portable.

It’s simple to get started! You can go from setting up the machine to completing your first project in minutes. You also have access to over 500 free images and 40 project ideas. If you want to expand your library of Cricut images, you can explore and purchase digital images from Cricut Craft Room with digital sets starting at $4.99

The Cricut Mini is very easy to use. It comes with a booklet that shows you how to start and how to set it up!

See below I have it setting up with my laptop.

You cna do a lot with the Cricut Mini, including using the Craft Room. You download the Craft Room onto your PC and you have access to tons of cartridges.

I decided to create my own design and make little journal books between each of my older girls where we write notes to each other.

Below are the basics which come free for all Cricut Users. But in the craft room you cna find hundreds of files you can download and use from the Craft Froom!

Before cutting it will let you know based on the paper you are using where you should have all your settings:

Hit cut and let it do it’s thing!

Once it’s done cutting just peel and create:

I can’t wait to make gift tags for Christmas! I found the adorable Penguin Christmas Treat Tags in the Project Center. All you have to do is save the cut files and then upload them in the application!

I love that the files already have the colors shown, so it’s so easy to know which layer to print onto what color. This took me a minute to download and then upload.

But there are HUNDREDS to choose from, from Holidays to new baby… a little bit of everything!

Start exploring your imagination with Cricut Mini™, available at cricut.com and your local Michaels, Joann Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, or AC Moore stores.
