Holiday 2010: Cuisinart Slow Cooker

When it comes to small kitchen appliances one company has my heart… Cuisinart. Ever since I was shopping for my Wedding Registry I always wanted to own every Cuisinart product I could.

A few years ago my slow cooker started to malfunction and cause me problems. I always told my husband I would replace it with a Cuisinart Slow Cooker. So when the awesome 6.5-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker arrived I couldn’t wait to use it. In fact ever since it arrived on my door step last week I have been using it to make dinner.

Programmable technology makes homemade meals easier than ever! This family-Sized Cuisinart Slow Cooker features 24-hour programmable cook time; and a digital countdown timer, three cooking modes. It automatically shifts to Keep Warm when cooking is done to ensure that up to 6 ½ quarts of your favorite family entrees, sides, or desserts are warm, ready and waiting to enjoy.

What I love about this slow cooker is how easy it it to use. Turn it on, select high, low or simmer and then for how long you’d like it to cook.  Another feature I love is that the cord is retractable!

I was impressed with how fast the food cooks, or how slow it will cook food and not burn on the bottom.  The black ceramic cooking pot is very easy to get clean.

  1. I LOVE using the slow cooker. I just used mine yesterday. I have the best slow cooker cookbook called fix-it and forget-it. I haven’t made something I hate from it yet. The set time and auto warmer set would be so nice to have though! Maybe my next one

  2. I love the size of this baby. Slow cookers are awesome and they make your home smell so good and inviting. Thanks for the review.

  3. I like the “look” of this slow cooker. The design fits into the kitchen decor better than the plain crockpots we are so used to seeing. This looks nice left out on your counter.
