Happy Independence Day America!

Independence Day honors the birthday of the United States of America and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.

In June 1776, representatives of the 13 colonies then fighting in the revolutionary struggle weighed a resolution that would declare their independence from Great Britain. On July 2nd, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later its delegates adopted the Declaration of Independence, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson. From 1776 until the present day…

Americans across the states celebrate this day with family and friends. We usually spend this day on the Lake with BBQ but this year with Pat’s tear of his acelis tendon and my morning sickness we have decided to stay home and relax.

We did have an awesome day with Pat’s family yesterday and watched the fireworks from their deck, while the girls went on the boat and saw them from the lake.

Next year we will have another little one to celebrate with and hope we are able to spend it on the lake with everyone.

Here is a great Patriotic coloring page for kids to color today!

We hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July and please be safe! No drinking and driving and please no illegal fireworks!
