I make a very low fat power shake every morning with egg beaters, skim milk, Chocolate Lo-Carb whey powder and a spoonful of fibersure.
I’ve actually been trying to drink more water and eat more fruit.
I have started walking a mile daily…my pace is fairly slow right now, but I know it will pick up.

I drink ALOT of caffeine..about 10 cups a day..so I have started to cut down by alternating between caffein and decaffeinated..I am hopefully eventually going to be caffeine free..the doctor did not want me to quit cold turkey so its baby steps

I’m trying to get healthier by walking more. I use stairs instead of elevators whenever possible. I park in the middle of large parking lots and when I shop at different stores, I carry my parcels to the car and then walk to the next store. This saves a little bit on gas too!

I’m growing a bigger veggie garden this summer. Once it’s planted and growing, I feel like I’ve got to eat it (can’t let it go to waste). And, that means, a diet with much more veggie content (not to mention, fresh, homegrown, tasty, organic, no pesticide/chemical fertilizer, healthy…)
I cut down on sugar and try to go sugar free when possible.
I’m trying to include more protein in my diet by eating more meat, milk, and yogurt.

I joined the Church Co-Ed softball team as a form of exercise and to be social and the vegetable garden bed has been hand tilled. Seeding starts soon.

I’ve been walking my dog more often on a daily basis. It has been good for the both of us.
Our family is taking a walk around the block every evening after dinner to get a little exercise in with the kids!

I’m eating smaller portions.
I never drank soda much before getting married, but since its here, I want it – the opposite was true before. I’ve stopped drinking pretty much save when my migraines are so bad I want extra caffiene (don’t drink tea or coffee either) to help the medicine. This only works for migraines, normal ferocious headaches only get worse with caffiene.
So I’m eliminating the enormous amount of sugar and caffiene I was having in my up to six sodas a week or more.

I stopped drinking Coke/Pepsi on Jan 1st, 2010 and started drinking more water. I lost 10 lbs the first month cutting out all the soft drinks and as of yesterday I’ve lost 25 lbs the past 3 months. I definitely feel much healthier.
