Summer is here which means families have lots planned, from family gatherings, vacations and trips but that doesn’t mean to stop all your exercise workouts! With a easy way to still workout that you can have right on your mobile device I like the Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout App

The 7 Minute Workout officially launched in January of this year and allows the user to do the original, scientifically based 7 Minute Workout in addition to the following features:

  • 36 body resistance exercises developed and tested by Chris Jordan, creator of the original 7 Minute Workout
  • 18 new workouts with more than 1,000 different variations, all rooted in science (this includes 6 new workouts just added – will be officially announced next week; Android platform currently has 12 workouts)

The app is extremely easy to use an follow! Have a fun and easy workout wherever you go! Depending on when you log on to your 7 Minute Workout App I love how it says “Good Morning” or “Good Afternoon”. From the home screen it allows you to select what you want to do!

GETTING STARTED

Getting started is so easy, when you first open the App. you will be asked a few questions. This is just to help pace you and your fitness levels and goals.

MIND, BODY, AND MUSIC.

You can do one, two or three circuits. You can watch the clock, the trainer, or listen to and control music during your workout. You can even swap out workouts to keep things interesting. Of course, you can also stick with the original 7 Minute Workout.

You also will see a circle with dots that fill red as you do the workout. It beeps to let you know when you are getting close to the end of your first exercise in that cycle.

After you do the exercise in that cycle you have a pause countdowns and lets you know what is next to do.

WATCH IT. DO IT.

Each workout shows you exactly how to do it properly.  You follow along with Chris Jordan, who will teach you the correct way to do each movement. Be sure to watch the how to before you begin your circuits/workout so you are already prepared on how to perform the exercise properly.

TRACK IT. SHARE IT.

Easily log your workouts so you can track your progress. You can also share a snapshot of your training with friends. Nothing like a little healthy competition or a motivating partnership to help keep you going. See the days, number of cycles, and effort. Tracking and sharing your workouts is almost as fun as doing them.
