When I was pregnant with my older girls I never really worried a lot about the pregnancies. Getting tested for Gestational Diabetes also never concerned me. I had easy pregnancies, easy labors and easy deliveries.
Now, it’s been size years since having Sarah and with being a blogger I read A LOT on the Internet. I hear about all kind of things, and so with this new pregnancy I have been so scared, worried and freaked out about everything.
This time my biggest concern is Gestational Diabetes. I am heavier this time around than with the girls, so I have been very careful on what I eat and I while I don’t have a vigorous workout routine (again, my paranoia here) I do walk every day at work and here I am at 24 weeks and have not gained any weight.
I do have my Gestational Diabetes test in about a month, I am worried about passing, but mostly worried about getting Diabetes after pregnancy as well.
One thing I can do, that any pregnant mom can do is stick to a healthy balanced diet. Like the Crystal Farms Better’n Eggs and AllWhites. Crystal Farms Better’n Eggs and AllWhites are fat-free, cholesterol-free, and low-calorie. Women who are diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes have a higher chance of developing Diabetes after pregnancy.
November is National Diabetes Awareness Month, the perfect time to recruit members of the Mamavation community to take a stand against Type II diabetes – a preventable disease that affects 25.8 million children and adults in the U.S. It’s also the perfect time for Oprah’s personal trainer and health and wellness expert Bob Greene to share nutrition and fitness tips, and to share about products that can help individuals live with or prevent Type II diabetes, such as Crystal Farms® Better’n Eggs and AllWhites.
