Dora’s Explorer Girls – Dora Links

One hot item for girls age 5 and up is Dora’s Explorer Girls. And I have to say my girls are in love with this doll!

This new collection, based on characters and storylines created by Nickelodeon, is innovative, diverse, wholesome, bi-lingual and entertaining.  At www.DoraLinks.com, girls can explore, play games, customize and–most importantly–solve mysteries with Dora and her friends! By plugging the Dora Links doll into a computer, girls can access Dora’s brand-new, exclusive interactive online world.  And, through this exciting new innovation in computer-connected play, as girls are playing with Dora in her online world, they can customize their doll and watch as she magically transforms right before their eyes.

In order to use the online world you have to have a Dora Links Doll. Setup took a little time because one I downloaded the software I went to launch the online world to create an account for Sam. Once launched it said it had to update the program; which took at least 15 minutes to do so. Finally after all the updates were done it was time for Sam and I to set up her account.

The account set up was easy and fast! Once we created her account she was all set to start playing. What I love about Dora Links online world is that it is very easy for the girls to navigate around. I can see where they get the age of 5 but really I think it should be 6 or 7 and older. Sam is almost 7 and had no problem navigating around the online world.

 The doll retails for $59.99 and is for ages 5+.
