My oldest son loves art. He tells everyone he is an artist. He likes to create stories and draw pictures and build stuff. I love seeing what creative stuff he comes up with.

I color with my daughter on a daily basis and we put some of thoes color pages in frames and we hang them up
I encourage my kids to be creative by having a journal when we travel, they can write and draw. My older son goes back to his journals to remember his adventures.
we do art projects at Michaels once per week.
I encourage them to draw and paint rather than play computer games

We take out our fragile products and color
We like to play pretend and dress up!
by setting an example and digging right into the craft supplies with them
I give them big white paper and paints and they love to draw pictures and paint them
I don’t have kids of my own, but I am an environmental educator. I encourage kids’ creativity by bringing them outside to experience the world…then come back and keep a journal to write and draw about what they saw and felt.

I am sure to provide an uncluttered work surface with just the tools needed (crayons, pencils, paints what have you) so that Alysia can focus on her task.

I draw too! Bring in “free” supplies like macaroni, leaves, sticks, and beads and use those on a 2-D drawing/painting. By creating together, they learn even more!
