Cinnabon Introduces CUPCAKES *Blog Event & Giveaway*
Cinnabon cupcakes – Anything else is just a CupFake™
I know I have talked about this fun event a few times already but I wanted to share with you pictures and the fun stuff we did. I had a lot of fun at the Cinnabon Event.
It was so much fun and I was so excited to meet all the great bloggers. We all clicked right away and everyone was so sweet. The bloggers in attendance were: Mommy Perks, Mommy Goggles, Soul Parents and the food bloggers from Cupcakes Take the Cake, Gigachef, Serious Eats and Savory Sweet Life .

Lunch on Bainbridge Island: (it was tasty). As soon as we got to the island we went to lunch at Cafe Nola. t was a lot of fun to sit and chat with everyone.
The best part, meeting Jerilyn! Jerilyn was amazing. She has this way of telling you her story, or any story and it just memorizes you. She is by far one of the most amazing women I have ever met.
After lunch we headed to the home of the “Cinnamom,” Jerilyn Brusseau. Jerilyn lives in the cutest little cottage home that she describes as “a kitchen with a bed.” I can say that it is true, her home is about 700 square feet and most of it was in the kitchen. Her home literally surrounds her large kitchen island.
Jerilyn is the brain child to the Cinnabon Recipe. Jerilyn owned her own bakery and cafe. In the 80s she was approached to create the “world’s greatest cinnamon bun.” She created the Cinnabon we know and love today in 1985 after finally coming up with the “secret ingredient” (No she did not tell us what it was) and she also created this new line of cupcakes.
Jerilyn is also a humanitarian whose organization Peace Trees Vietnam works to remove land mines in Vietnam and replace them with new trees.
We then got to taste all the cupcakes. There are four kinds.
After we got to try the cupcakes and talk to Jerilyn we were split into groups. These groups were already designated and I was on team green with Debbie. We made the most delicious coconut Cupcakes and then alter got to decorate them.
Nichelle from Cupcakes Take the Cake, Alica from Savory Sweet Life were on team green together and here are our finished cupcakes. mmmmm
Jerilyn took us for a walk to her barn and told us about the DAISY Foundation. The Foundation was formed in January, 2000, by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died at age 33 of complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). The illness made Patrick not hungry, one day his family brought a Cinnabon for Pat to eat when he was in the hospital, he requested one for the next day and asked that they bring enough for all the nurses in the unit. Now during the presentations of the DAISY Award they serve Cinnabons.
As of July, 2009, over 4,500 nurses have received The DAISY Award.
FOCUS Brands & Rogers Group paid for my air fare, and hotel to Seattle for this event. They also supplied me gift certificates for Giveaway purpose. All opinions are my own.
