Now that all of the kids have officially gone back to school (Can you hear the parents cheering?) parents are trying to think of fun, yummy and healthy after school snacks. My kids are always really hungry when they get home from school but we literally only have minutes before we have to run back out the door for activities.
I know one of the easiest (and tastiest) snack that my girls love is when I make them a Chocolate TruMoo Banana Smoothie. The smoothie is also perfect for those days when they need to take their snack to go.
Making the smoothie is extremely easy, all you need is 8 ozs Chocolate TruMoo, Two bananas cut and frozen and a blender!
- Cut two Bananas, place them in a bowl and freeze them for about 30 minutes
- Pour 8 ozs Chocolate TruMoo into your blender
- Add frozen Bananas and blend
- Serve and enjoy!
If I know I am going to make the girls the Chocolate TruMoo Banana Smoothie I will pre-cut the bananas in the morning so they are ready to go in the afternoon. You can add anything else, like protein powder, flaxseed, or other fruit.
