Chocolate Pretzel Buttons

Last week while planning for my MAM party I was looking for easy ideas on snacks. I saw these adorable Chocolate Pretzel Buttons and the girls and I had fun making them.

What you’ll need:

  • mini pretzels
  • Hershey’s Hugs
  • M&Ms (we used dark chocolate)

  • Preheat oven to 200°
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
  • Place the pretzels on and top them with the hugs.
  • Bake for 4-5 minutes until the chocolate is shiny and soft
  • Carefully place an M&M in the center of each hug and press it down to spread the chocolate.
  • Allow to cool completely (a few minutes in the fridge helps)

These are so easy to make and taste yummy!  The kids loved them.

These are easy enough to be right up MY alley and cute enough to be a perfect edition to any summer BBQ or get together. Thank you!

I saw the picture and didn’t even know the treat had a kiss (hug) in the middle. We just happen to have some of these on hand. Never thought of just melting them like this. I do lots of holiday chocolates and this would be fun. It took a long time how to figure out how NOT to scorch the chocolate. Thanks for the great treat recipe! Nice to have for school events and to put out for Bday party snacks.

I love to eat these but have never tried to make them. They don’t sound as hard to make as I figured they would be. I am going to try these soon!

So I didn’t use the mini pretzels and it made a huge difference in the look. Hopefully no has seen them before so they won’t be able to see the difference. They still taste great!

Can’t wait to make these and take to my work. My daughter is always making “cheater’s turtles” for my work. They are pretzels, rolos, and a pecan.
