Chivalry Is Not Dead With Dockers *Giveaway*
You may have seen the Dockers Men Without Pants commercial during the Super Bowl. It was all about men stepping up and wearing the pants – even though they weren’t! Although I don’t really “get” the commercial I do think that the whole part about Chivalry not being dead is great. I can not even begin to tell you how many times I don’t see a man holding the door open for a woman (including myself).
Now to prove that Chivalry is not dead, this Valentine’s Day I’m giving away 5 pairs of Dockers Soft Khakis in either a classic khaki color or a cool red.

I got a dozen beautiful roses and he took me out for dinner!
I got NOTHING, can you believe it. I guess when you’re married over 10 years the romance goes out the window.
He got me a beautiful card and some Lemonheads which is my favorite candy. Also got us take out Chinese which is perfect with 3 little ones at home. A pretty perfect day. Now he’s putting the kids to bed and we will watch a movie.
My husband took me out to a special dinner theatre last night. Today,he mde a special Valentine’s day meal.

Hubby didn’t get me flowers – he knows I’m allergic to them. He made a super delicious dinner today and everything was from scratch, no packaged foods. We had baked ziti, homemade garlic bread, and a mixed salad that we enjoyed to oldies tunes cds. No boxed chocolates ’cause he knows the brand of chocolate bars that I love and bought several of them. He remembers all the little things that I like and that is so special to me.
I’m not big on getting gifts, but he gave me chocolates (mandatory since I’m a chocoholic) and gave me the best longest back rub.
A great meal at our favorite restaurant and some great homemade fudge from a sinfully delicious local candy maker – chocolate, vanilla and peanut butter.

My lovely boyfriend made me the most romantic dinner…..He cooked the best steak and made the best potato. WHat suprised me most is that he actually set the table with flowers, plates, forks…the whole deal….Underneath my plate was the perfect card and for desert he had me a cookie made with BE MINE written in icing for dessert. It was perfect and sweet…..The best part was that I got to do nothing the whole day with him taking care of everything. No need for a special gift of bling or trip to the sea….At home…where the heart is! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
My hubby bought chocolates for the family. (We are low on money)…but he tells me he loves me every morning and night of EVERY day so, you can’t compete with that!
He told me that after 30 years I still turn him on. What more do I need to hear?

Thank you for the giveaway. Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture but, I can share my gifts and day with you.
My husband actually surprised me with my valentine’s gifts yesterday. He bought a teddy bear that was holding a heart shaped box. Inside of the box was heart candies in a red mesh bag. When I lifted the candy up, I found a necklace inside on the bottom of the box! He recently noticed me admiring necklaces at the jewelry counter.
Today, we went to my son’s baptism and then I took him to lunch at our favorite mexican rest. his birthday is tomorrow (15th) so we did a few things for him here and there since Friday, little surprises!
Anyways, my husband also gave me a card telling me how much he still loves me. Thank you for letting me share my special day.

The men in the family prepared a fabulous meal for all the gals! My Brother-in-law tackled Chicken Cordon Bleu, My DH made a mushroom, asparagus & parmesan orzo, while my Farther -in-law whipped up a chocolate cake.

I had to work tonight, but he bought me my favorite dinner to bring into work, and I was promised a nice movie night soon!
My husband had to work last night so we are going out for dinner Tuesday. He did get me a bouqet of flowers, a chocolate heart, some Reese’s, and a very sweet card.
Okay, it may be a small thing, but my hubby got up bright (okay, it was still dark) and early with our youngest son and I got to sleep in! Any day that starts off sleeping until I choose to get out of bed instead of when someone else wakes me up is heavenly!

My husband got me my favorite chocolates.
I paid attention and bought my wife the ring she said she loved 5 weeks ago. It wasn’t in stock and they didn’t make it in her size and she was so upset because it was the perfect ring. So I secretly ordered it and had it resized. She had no idea and was so thrilled. She wore it around the house in pajamas because she loved it so much!

We have an agreement that V-day is for suckers. We treat each other special every day, not just when a calander tells us its time again. We had a nice day sitting around watching movies and enjoying each others company. DH totally needs new pants though, most of his are 5+ years old… he’s not exactly the same size and shape he was 5 years ago…
Katie, I completely agree with you. You should make your Husband/Wife feel special every day not just one day a year.
My husband had to work overtime this weekend, so we didn’t see each other but he is always a gentleman. He still opens the doors for me and tells me every day that he loves me after 12 years of married life!

Valentine’s Day is no different than any other day for us. We have a wonderful life, have a lot of fun, and do a lot of things together. Yesterday, we all went out to dinner and an Islanders game afterwards. We all had so much fun.
I was sick
but he did give me a box of chocolates and babied me all day.
I have no Valentine anymore but my children made a special effort to make sure I was not forgotten.

We went out to a movie which we rarely do and it was a lot of fun!

I loved the fact that my husband
has worked so hard to improve his health!

My boyfriend was soo sweet on Valentine’s Day! He bought me three kinds of my favorite type of chocolate, as well as a sweet pair of shoes I had been wanting! He was going to take me to Olive Garden, but there was a three hour wait so we went to Ham’s instead. He bought me an appetizer + my food, and then we went to the movies and watched both Valentine’s Day and Wolfman (I wanted to see both) and in between movies he took me out for a milkshake! And he bought everything for me, even though we’re both in college and pretty much broke
And the whole night, he opened the door for me, held my hand, and even let me lay on him in the movie Wolfman when I got scared

This Valentine’s day my husband served me breakfast in bed with a song on his lips. He sang the song that was “our song” when we were dating. He then told me that the song would always be his favorite song and I will always be his girl.
Oh sure there were roses and a card but the fact that he was willing to do something so sweet means so much to me.
I love my husband dearly, but after all these years for any occasion, he’s never done anything. Not even a card. So I was totally surprised when he came home from work last night with a hand made card and a box of chocolates! I got a back massage too!

We spent the day out with our kids. It was a great day with the family.
Well I had to work until 3 and we were up late both friday night and saturday night so I came home and took a nap, he let me sleep longer than I planned, and then we went to eat and to a movie. Unfortunately we had to leave the movie early though because he is in the Air Force and he got called in to work..
But we still had fun! Oh and he got me flowers and candy! woo!!
No matter how stubborn he is I still love him!
Because of the weather my husband hasn’t been able to do anything extra special yet but he will. He knows he doesn’t have to but he always does. Being on a road crew this time of year keeps him extra busy and when he gets to come home I want him to come right home and get a few hours sleep and a good hot meal.

On Valentine’s Day, my dear husband got up and made me breakfast in bed–it was wonderful–he had even found my favorite bakery and brought me my favorite pastries(he’s never actually been there–he had to ask my best friend where it was located–it’s in the basement of a huge office building–they really only sell to restaurants–but if you go in they will sell you a few items–but it is so not him to be adventurous)
It was extra sweet of him because he is on a new diet from his Dr –that allows no sweets.

Our oldest son, however, brought his girl home for a week, to meet us, and on Valentine’s Day, he slipped into the bedroom she was sleeping in, and slipped an engagement ring on her finger. I am guessing she was very happy when she woke up because she said yes.
My husband warmed the car up for my. He drew me a hot, bubbly bubble bath for me and fixed me a romantic dinner.
He took the day off so that we could spend it together. We started with breakfast in bed, went on a shopping spree, saw a movie and had a great dinner out.

I don’t have a hubby but my grandson gave me candy and a card.
This may sound odd, but my husband did not do anything specifically for Valentine’s Day. My husband is great. He cooks, he cleans, he is handy and fizes stuff around the house and he is always thinking and doing stuff for me. So, on Valentine’s Day I let him have the day off. I let him know he does a great job the rest of the year and he doesn’t need to be pressured for the holiday!!
We don’t celebrate Valentines day but my husband is nearly always chivalrous. He is kind, thoughtful, intuitive and considerate.
