Halloween Photos

ok I am a week late. sorry!!! I wanted to share some photos of the girls from Halloween. The only things I made for their costumes were their bows and tutus. I had a designer make the peasant tops and corsets. Here are a few of the pictures. I still have to get the rest from my friend. We ended up using her camera the whole time so I have to wait until she uploads them to her laptop and then emails them to me. I tried explaining to her about putting them in a zip file but I think I confused her. LOL. anyways, we all had a great time!

I chose this picture because EVERYONE who goes to Disney Land has their picture taken at sleeping beauty’s castle. and of course Samantha has no problem posing for the picture either.

Autumn Goody Swap!

Christy from hosted the Autumn Goody Swap. Lisa W (I guess she doesn’t have a blog) had me, and I received my package in the mail today. I didn’t even say I liked Victoria Secret, and she sent me bubble bath!!! YAY!!! and SNICKERS!!! LOL. She also sent me these two adorable stuffed animals by GUNZ. One is a bear in a pumpkin costume and the other is a turkey! Sarah already ran off with them saying “baby” and hugging them. She sent me some awesome googly eye stickers and a scarecrow scrapbook sticker. YAY! both will be perfect for scrap booking! The dish she put the candy in has a cute turkey on it and I am seriously going to make hubby meatloaf in it!
YAY! I love my gifts. they are perfect! I hope that Emma gets her package from me soon! She is all the way in Canada.

Wordless Wednesday

This is the picture I am using for Sarah’s 2nd Birthday invitations. I made the tutu is like 10 minutes, and the tiara was mine from my wedding. I just love her smile and the look she is giving me, I also love how she is playing with the fake pearls.

Pumpkin Carving

Yesterday the girls and I carved the pumpkin Samantha picked out from the Pumpkin Patch.

Pumpkin Patch 2007

Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch in Yucaipa. We had a lot of fun! The girls got to pick out their own pumpkins, and then got to do a few of the blowup slides things. I have no idea what they are called.

2nd Birthday

Sarah’s second birthday is coming up next month on the 30th and I wanted to get these together and printed (I think it can take up to 2 weeks to get them printed) anyways, so today I whipped up this tutu in about 10 minutes, got out a pair of faux pearls I gave the girls and my tiara from my wedding, took her outside and stuck her on the grass infront of our apartment. Al I had to do to get her to giggle was tickle her feet. I absolutely HATE my camera but surprsingly it takes some OK pictures outside. I cropped her a little, and made this in PSP7. I have PSE but I jsut started working on that program and don’t know how to use it very well. Anyways, this is what I ahve come up with. I need to add the information still (I emailed MIL about that one) and I need to put her birthdate on it. I wanted some advice on it and if I should change anything.

Here are my babies both at one month old. Sarah is on the left, Samantha on the right. This is my husband’s favorite picture of Samantha, and when Sarah turned one month old I put the same outfit on her and took a picture of her. I can not believe how much they look aliked when they were newborns. Now Sarah has taken on her own little features. At times she still looks like her Sissy.

(baby bug bite me again. ACK!!!)

Book Case!

For Christmas the girls are getting a new bedroom set. My inlaws are buying them twin beds and a dresser. I have narrowed it down to two bedroom sets. Both from Pottery Barn. Samantha’s toddler bed is the Catalina bed. I really like the Kendell Bed, the Anderson Bed and the Madaline Bed. I have no idea which one to pick. I like all three of them.

Here is their room as of right now. I have wood letters painted girlie on the walls. (Sarah’s is above her crib) When we get their new beds I will change the letters and put them above each of their beds.
Sarah is still in the crib, but I am excited about switching her, plus at PB they have side rail you cna buy. so YAY! I also plan on buying them new bedding and a new table and chair set. their beds will go how they are below in the pictures, adn their dresser will go in the middle. I plan on putting their table and chairs more in the middle of the room. I want to get a round table. I am absolutely in love with the rug. I got it on ebay back in April. I paid like 50 dollars for it after shipping.

little angels

Little angels, you are loved. I always think of what might have been.

“Too perfect for Earth”

What Makes a Mother?

I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today
I asked “What makes a Mother?”
And I know I heard Him say.

“A Mother has a baby”
This we know is true
“But God can you be a Mother,
When your baby’s not with you?”

“Yes, you can,” He replied
With confidence in His voice
“I give many women babies,
When they leave is not their choice.

Some I send for a lifetime,
And others for the day.
And some I send to feel your womb,
But there’s no need to stay.”

“I just don’t understand this God
I want my baby to be here.”
He took a deep breath and cleared His throat,
And then I saw the tear.

“I wish I could show you,
What your child is doing today.
If you could see your child’s smile,
With all the other children and say…

‘We go to Earth to learn our lessons,
Of love and life and fear.
My Mommy loved me oh so much,
I got to come strait here.

I feel so lucky to have a Mom,
Who had so much love for me.
I learned my lessons very quickly,
My Mommy set me free.

I miss my Mommy oh so much,
But I visit her every day.
When she goes to sleep,
On her pillow’s where I lay

I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek,
And whisper in her ear.
Mommy don’t be sad today,
I’m your baby and I’m here.’

“So you see my dear sweet ones,
your children are okay.
Your babies are born here in My home,
And this is where they’ll stay.

They’ll wait for you with Me,
Until your lesson’s through.
And on the day that you come home
they’ll be at the gates for you.

So now you see what makes a Mother,
It’s the feeling in your heart
it’s the love you had so much of
Right from the very start

Though some on earth may not realize,
you are a Mother.
Until their time is done.
They’ll be up here with Me one day
and know that you are the best one!”

please everyone light a candle for those who have lost a baby today.

dang! Today is so slow. I haven’t seen a Sunday so slow before. I guess most people are lucky and have their dear Hubby home with them. 🙁 not me. My Hubby is working. So I have been spending today cleaning and organizing! YAY!! I got a huge bag full of clothes that Sam and Sarah out grew, some clothes of Pat’s that he never wears, and some of my jeans that I don’t wear and put them out by the dumpster with a sign saying “free clothes” on it. LOL. (is that ghetto?)I just figured instead of throwing them away I could just let people who need them take them. I am also cleaning our closet. It was bad!!! my stuff was a mess you didn’t even want to go in the closet. I’ll wait to show those pictures for “tackle it Tuesdays”

Tuesday were getting our carpet cleaned. YAY!!

I did put the laundry away and am washing clothes. fun!!! *hear the sarcasm?*

Samantha’s point of view

Ever wonder what goes on through a 4 year old’s mind when they get a hold of a digital camera? Well, one of my girls favorite things to do is take pictures. since I hate my camera I let them play with it, Sam is very careful with it. anyways, one of my new favorite pictures of Sarah is this one, and miss Samantha took it!

and a few more than Sam took.

Sarah throwing a fit

seems Sam likes to take pictures of her sissy!

Happy Birthday Daddy

My sister Kristin gave me a super cute idea for Sam to make hubby a banner for his birthday. I loved the idea. She did such a great job. I told her the letters to write for “Happy Birthday daddy”, she did awesome, only asked my how to write “Y” and then figured it out herself. I love the banner and I know Pat will love it too.

This picture to the left is Sam underneath the banner, she drew a picture of “Papa, Grandma, Abby Jean, Sammy, Mommy, Sissy, and Daddy” (do you see what she drew on me? umm yeah.. LOL)

I tried to get the whole banner but it was kind of hard!

Happy Birthday!

Today is my dear hubby’s 28th birthday! I just wanted to share with everyone, how much I love him and hope he has a wonderful day!

What are your kids learning in school?

My mother in law is a kindergarten teacher, and I am so lucky that Samantha gets to go to her class when we visit every week. Samantha missed the cutoff by a few weeks so she wont be able to start school until next year.

So what are they learning in Kindergarten? Samantha already knew how to write her name but she is learning to write in the lines, and also to write her last name.

Every morning they sit down on the big rug and practice the months of the year, the days of the week, their colors and shapes. They are also learning the colors in Spanish.

Learning to read is also one of the biggest things all of the kids are learning. We are starting with family words, like at, cat, bat, mat. I never realized how fast the kids can catch on.

Kindergarten is a lot of fun, the kids are learning structure, how to follow rules and directions. School has only been in class for two months and I am so surprised at how much Samantha has learned.

Now that she has learned each letter of the alphabet and the sound they make, she knows how to put the letters together by sounding them out to make words. Her first word she put together was “at” and she was so proud of herself. Now she likes to read books and try putting words together by herself.

We are huge fans of reading, and have many books from . For Christmas this year my girls are getting a nice bookcase with tons of new books!
