Soccer has started!

Today was Samantha’s first soccer practice. Although she was a natural at it, she did have a few rough moments and I almost pulled her and took her home. But she was a trooper and made it trough.

Hopefully next week will be better. Oh I also signed up to be the assistant Coach YAY!

Basically Sam complained that her shin guard was hurting her foot. So I think next week we will try it with a pair of socks under the shin guard and a pair over. Plus I think maybe her cleats might be too big. Hopefully not though.

The girls are absolutely adorable, and I can’t wait until their first game next Saturday.

I really think my daughter has become very feminine and these rough sports is a shock for her. But I know she will love it and have fun. Soccer was my passion for so long and I want her to love it too.

Here are some pictures.

and practice starts……

So happy

Next Tuesday is the first day of school and I am so excited. Not just because Sam starts school but to finally be working again. I am a teacher’s assistant and really am excited for this year.

Today was my first day helping, and man am I wiped out. I helped out for 5 hours! Tomorrow I’m going shopping. YAY

anyways, just wanted to say I am so excited for school to start.

so excited!

So yesterday was Hubby’s day off. (Notice how I wasn’t online at all?) anyways, so we decided to go to the store. Nothing else better to do then go grocery shopping. Anyways, our Stater Bros. was having a promotion. If you spend so much money you receive one entry to win a 200 dollar gas card to Chevron.

Well I guess by spending 158 dollars we received 5 entries. What is funny is the day before my mother in law received a ton of entries too and she didn’t tell us this until this morning. She said if she won she would give the card to us.

Well about 8am this morning Pat’s cell phone rings and it is Stater Bros. GM telling us we had won!!! Were so excited. I can’t believe we won the gift card. Pat says he never wins anything, and was so excited.

anyways, so that is my happy story for today LOL

because I was bored

and was wondering how you go from this to this? LOL

hey I think I did a pretty good job LOL

oh and look she DEFINATELY has her daddy’s forhead.

Summer Fun Photo Contest

Here is Samantha riding the boggy board two weeks ago while we were at Newport beach. We had such a blast that week at the beach. It is something we have done every summer since Sam was a baby. The beach house is our one family vacation everyone enjoys!

I *heart* My Sponsors!

I love what I do here on my blog. I love sharing with my readers all these wonderful products and I enjoy bringing amazing giveaways to my readers as well.

I received one of the sweetest emails from a recent sponsor.

Greetings!

We hope this email finds you happy and well! It was my sincere intention to write you sooner; however, we were on a long jaunt in the trade show world for Nana Star and Friends and time has not been in our favor these past few weeks.

We wanted to thank you for your kind, thoughtful review of Nana Star and Nana Star and the Moonman. We greatly appreciate your input and opinions and we do pay attention to everything that is commented on and take note accordingly.

We do hope our next stories and toys head your way in the coming year. Our journey to bring Nana Star to life has been a labor of love and the road has been long; however, we feel that parents and educators “get it” and we do know children love the stories.

You have such a nice, beautiful blog and we’re glad to be part of it. I will check back for sure. We have placed your review and live link back to your site on: it will be updated today or tomorrow at the latest. It will be nice for our visitors to know about your site and we just can’t thank you enough.

Take good care, keep writing greatness and sharing your wonderful blog with the world!

Much kindness and laughter,

ee

So Busy!

Man it’s the second day into the week and I have been so busy! This week is swim lessons week (next week too)

I am amazed at how much Sam has learned in ONE day! ONE DAY! I mean, she knew how to swim before lessons started, but she mostly did the doggy paddle. I was just shocked watching her today and doing everything so perfectly. Even her swim teacher was impressed.

Sarah is doing the mommy & me class. She does not want to do anything except play. But She is going under water to get the “bananas” and “pickles” She will learn though.

Today was also ballet for Sam. Sarah was very upset when Grandma took her to ballet and kept crying “alleeeeee, alleeeee” She wants to do ballet like her big sis. But here they have to be 4 to start. So one more year.

So am I crazy for already getting ideas for Sam’s birthday next year? I guess I am so excited for her starting kinder that I think of all the little friends she is going to make. I am truly excited for my baby girl!

AND a little sneak peek at what is coming up over at Mommies United!

Some Pictures

I wanted to share a few pictures from our beach trip. Sorry they are not that grat I took them with my cell phone.

Samantha had a blast in the water. She used one of our friends boogy boards and had so much fun skimming over the water.

Happy 4th

I wanted to share a picture of my Sam from last year. I made the ribbon tank for the girls last year.
Oh and I have no idea what I did with those Korker hairbows I made either. maybe I should whip some up tonight.

Relaxing Sunday

Sorry guys that I have not blogged anything today. It is Hubby’s day off and we had such a nice day.

We have a friend named Bryan who has an older brother, so we decided to take him to see his brother out in Anaheim, and since he lives about 2 blocks away from Disneyland we went to Down Town Disney and went to the Rain Forest Cafe. The girls had a blast staring at the different fish tanks and we all had a great lunch.

After walking around Down Town Disney we decided to go bowling. Sam had a blast bowling. She loves it!

Now were home and watching a movie. Hubby and Bryan went to the store so I thought I would jump on here really quickly while they were gone and say “HI!!!”

oh and Samantha starts her SECOND year of Ballet on Tuesday!!!

PS= I would have taken pictures of today except my digital camera broke. *CRY* no seriously, I am VERY upset that I don’t have a camera. *WWHHHAAAAHHHHH*

I *heart* Them!!

I took this this morning with my camera phone.

I love my girls, even when they drive me crazy! Thank goodness MIL and I are off to a baby shower today, even if it is for only a few hours. Mama needs a break too!

Want to know what I love about this picture? They are both hugging me. I love their love!

Happy Father’s Day!

To all you daddy’s out there, we wish you a very Happy Father’s Day. I hope that you all get to spend all day with your babies!

Were going over to my in laws later today and celebrating Pat and my FIL.

I just wanted to say how thankful I am for my hubby and how he is an amazing father.

Here are a few pictures of hubby with his girls.

I just love this one of Pat and Sam. We were on Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland

May’s Milestones

The month of May brought many, many milestones for my girls. I can not believe how much they are growing and every day they learn something new.

Samantha lost her 4th tooth this month! She also learned to swing on a swing set and learned to tie her shoes. I am very proud of her. In school she has learned all of the letters and the sounds they make and is now putting each sound together to read words. I am excited to see how she does when she starts kindergarten in the fall.

We have also started Sam in piano. She has had three lessons already and is doing great. We just need to work on her paying attention to her teacher. It seems she wants to be the teacher instead of the teach-ee. She received her first recital book and although I have no idea about keys and notes I am trying my best to read the book and show her what to do. It really is a lot of fun though!

Here is a picture that Samantha painted earlier this week. (sorry about the quality, I took it with my camera phone)

Today Sarah is 2 years and 6 months old. I can not believe my baby is two and a half now. Time is flying by. She is learning her colors, she knows pink. She likes to point to every color and every other color to her is green or pink, so when she points I say the color, she then moves to her letters and ever letter is “A” to her. So she points and says “A” and I say the right letter to her. She really wants to learn. She thinks she is 5. Yesterday I noticed that when I asked her what her name was she finally said “Sarah” although it sounds more like “I sawwwwaaaaahhh” She then points to everyone else and starts saying who they are. “momma” “mam-ma (grandma)” She calls Samantha “Sammy” She has also started giving us little devilish smiles and cocks her head to the side when she knows she is doing something she shouldn’t be doing.

I have one last update on Sarah, some of you might jump on me for this, but I am one of those moms who thinks that babies should have their bottle for as long as they want. Well….. I mean, I don’t think they should have them past 3 that’s for sure. Anyways, so today is day #2 with no bottle and she did great. I am so happy to have that thing GONE! She is turning into such a big girl!

oh…. as for potty training, she is doing great on that. She tells me when she has to go potty, she does much better when she wears pulls ups. I CAN NOT wait for her to be potty trained! Lets see, it’s been 5.5 years that I have been changing diapers, yeah I am tired and would LOVE a break before the next baby.

Tuesday night was my mother in law’s open house at school and there was about 5 babies there. Boy did my biological clock start ticking (HAHA I know I have PLENTY of time to have more) But I sure did want another one, and I still do. But I just am not there yet. I am hoping by the fall. I always told myself that the fall Sam started kindergarten we would start TTC. Who knows though.
