Cabbage Patch Kids Turn 25 and So Do I!

I was a huge fan of Cabbage Patch Kids growing up. I had so many I couldn’t even count them all.

2008 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Cabbage Patch Kids, and to celebrate, the Originals Kids are back in Australia from 3 July.

Cabbage Patch Kids are one of the world’s most iconic toys. With more than 112 million adopted globally since 1983, they remain the most successful doll in the history of the toy industry. When Cabbage Patch Kids were launched in 1983 they were so popular that many stores sold out within weeks of the Kids hitting store shelves.

For the first time in the history of the Cabbage Patch Kids, the original line will be reintroduced in a very special collection. The 25th Anniversary Cabbage Patch Kids range will be made exactly the way they used to be…. with hand stitched bodies, hand ‘rooted’ and groomed hair. They’ll even be hand dressed and hand packed. featuring all the original Kids’ expressions, face sculpts, hairstyles, names and fashions, along with a retro birth certificate and adoption papers, these Kids will really remind you of your Kid of yesteryear.
In fact, the only way to really tell these Kids apart from the ‘83 Originals, will be the addition of a Silver Anniversary Xavier Roberts signature logo to their bottoms.

This fall, Limited Edition 25th Anniersary Cabbage Patch Kids will be hitting store shelves for a limited time only. This is the first time they’ve been at retail since their debut in 1983.

Thanks Team Mom and Cabbage Patch Kids for the wonderful 25th Edition Doll.
