bObles is Danish children’s gear company founded by two sisters with an interest in spurring children’s motor skills development and, judging by the picture below, at least, in teasing US product liability lawyers with their model’s demonstrations of actual child behavior.

The Tumbling animals is based on simple geometrically forms – cut in the shape of animals.. The Tumbling animals are suitable as children´s furniture, but are designed for creative play.

The child is able to tumble, roll, balance, seesaw, rock, jump and gain some bodily experience, which can serve as the foundation for further development. The Tumbling animals are produced in a firm foam with a soft surface, very easy to clean under the shower. The Tumbling animals are tested especially for children and is free of any toxin or phthalates.

We received four of these amazing Tumbling Animals. The Fish, Giraffe, Crocodile, and Chicken.

FISH:
The Fish and Pig are available in two sizes and can be stacked. The low one is for the child who has just learned to sit. The big one is for the older child, and stacked, they fit teenagers and grown-ups.It has a size that enables the child to sit on it while in movement, which enhance not only the balance but also the joint senses. Children can lie across them and have both the backside of their bodies and their arms strengthened.

CROCODILE:
The Crocodile´s most obvious function is as a staircase, which enhances the strength and balance of the child. When turned upside down you have an angled surface with a see saw function and the child can walk/lie on its entire straight surface. The Crocodile has three seating levels for the small child and it is splendid for the social dimension that 2-3 children can sit together on the same piece of furniture.

CHICKEN:
The Chicken can be used as a stepping stone and turned upside down, there is a see saw function.

GIRAFFE:
The Giraffe is available in two sizes and they can be stacked. The low one is for the child who has just learned to sit. The big one is for the older child, and once you stack them, they fit teenagers and grown-ups. It is nice to have an example of each animal, because the child grows along with them, and as a result they can be used over a long period of time. You can roll the animal to one another, or roll and chase it. The 6-layer Giraffe has a size that enables the child to sit on it while in movement, which enhance not only the balance but also the joint senses. Children can lie across them and have the backside of their bodies strengthened, and children can exercise their arms through the pressure from their won body weight. The fine motor control can be stimulated by putting things into the giraffe side holes – and pick the up again.

bObles is a playful interior environment for children – with a design their parents would love to place within their homes. The tumbling animals can be used as furniture or for play. The whole idea is to enhance the children’s motor skills while playing! All the tumbling animals can stand alone and will in each their own way influence the motor skill development in a positive direction – but to have more tumbling animals – 4, 8 or 15 different tumbling animals together will give enormous opportunities for bodily development and hereby motor skills.

My girls have had an absolute blast playing with their bObles. I have seen their balance improve. Not only are they great for exercise for the girls, but they also serve purposes throughout the house. Like step stools and booster seats.
