Be Victorious this year with Special K *Giveaway*
Special K recently launched its “Be Victorious” program…just in time for New Year’s resolutions. They enlisted the help of six real women who have revealed what makes them feel victorious.
The “Be Victorious” women share some of their Victories, that were part of their television ad.
- Mary, age 30, Chicago, Ill.: “My victory is looking into a mirror and liking the woman looking back at me.”
- Jeannie, age 27, Gloucester, Va.: “My victory is running a marathon.”
- Jacquelyn, age 35, Lindenhurst, Ill.: “My victory is to show Isabelle that mommy feels confident.”
- Courtney, age 35, Chicago, Ill.: “My victory is hearing those four little words: ‘Have you lost weight?’”
- Kristi, age 26, Chicago, Ill.: “My victory is to not have to use my arms to cover my stomach.”
- Melissa, age 33, Oswego, Ill.: “My victory is to not have to use body-shaping undergarments.”
What am I doing this year to “Be Victorious”? I am training with one of my best friends Megan to run a marathon in April. I am so excited about it, and even more excited about getting healthy!
Special K supplied me with a Resolution Party Pack filled with my favorite Special K products —including the newest additions to the Special K lineup— Special K Fruit Crisps and Special K Low-Fat Granola. I am in love with the Special k Fruit Crisps. They taste like mini pop tarts and the kids love them too.
Want to win your own Resolution Party Pack? One winner will receive their own! Here is what is included:

I most identify with Jacquelyn because she is a mom, and she knows that if you set aside some time for yourself, then you’ll end up being a much better parent because you won’t feel as resentful or exhausted.

I like Kristi – the bathing suit story is me. I so want to wear a non-mom suit.

It’s funny I was just checking out Special K’s website and looking at this program along with a variety of exercise programs. I am even considering making a blog to mark my progress each step of the way (partly because it will keep me honest if I am out there for the world to see)
I think I most relate to Courtney, age 35, Chicago, Ill. I want to lose enough weight for someone to notice and so that I notice and feel healthier and better about me.

I relate to Melissa. I wish I had her motivation, I hope I get it soon. The fact that she loathes body shapers too, and can now discard them is very inspiring to me. I hate wearing body shapers.

It is hard to pick just one they all gave good reasons but I like Melissa the best
I identify most with Jeannie. I haven’t run my marathon yet, but, I’m starting to train.

I identify with Melissa because I want to get rid of my body shaping garments too. I got a wii for Christmas and I have been working out everyday for at least an hour.

I most relate to Courtney; I’ve been trying for years to lose enough weight for people to notice. It always sounds vain coming from me, but it’s more than just wanting people to notice “Oh, you look good.” but people to know that you didn’t just wish for it but worked your butt off for it…literally.

I am like Mary, because I want to like who I see in the mirror.
Jacquelyn because I just turned 40 and have a 2 yr. old. I need to lose lots of weight to grow up with my little boy confidently and able to play. This package looks perfect for a jump start.

I identify with Jacquelyn because she is a mom and realizes the importance of setting time for yourself to help you be a better parent. My “me” time is my morning workout at the gym while my daughter is in the gym daycare, 6 days a week (sometimes 7 on a hard week!). I know when my gym was closed for a month due to hurricane damage in 2008, I nearly went crazy until it reopened!

I most identify with Kristi — to be organized is a great goal! And to not feel compelled to cover my stomach all the time would be great.
I like Kristy’s bathing suit story the best
Courtney is the one I identify with. I am 36 still single and would love to hear someone say “Wow”. Or something other than “You have such a pretty face”.
I identify with Mary most because I’m not perfectly happy with what I see in the mirror either — I’d also like to lose some weight

Probably with Jeannie. I exercise to be fit and though I’m not training for the full marathon, I am trying to get ready for a half marathon.
I identify with Kristi because there are many parts of my body that make me uncomfortable.

I identify with Courtney. I’m actually delaying my general wellness exam with my doctor because I hate hearing her say that I have more than an inch to pinch. I never tried Special K products but they all look good especially the protein shakes. My victory would be hearing my doctor ask me if I’ve lost weight.
