Baby’s First Christmas: Blue Manatee Boxes Giveaway ends Nov. 30th

Blue Manatee Boxes are a sweet, simple gift concept for kids 3 and under featuring hand-picked board books in a package that is not only 100% eco-friendly (compostable, locally sourced), but 100% designed to be played with. They are also unique and cool, featuring original artwork by notable author/illustrators such as Loren Long, created just for us, to select for personalized gift enclosures. Customers can pick their own books (Build Your Own Box), or choose a special themed box (e.g. ZoomBox, CritterBox, BabyBox) which get filled with staff favorites.

Designed by a pediatrician, blue manatee boxes foster critical “old school” skills – increasingly at risk via the onslaught of electronic gadgets and apps – and have been endorsed by experts in child development, pediatrics, and natural play.

We really like the UnpluggedBox, which features a new board book series written by pediatrician John S. Hutton (creator of blue manatee boxes AND children’s bookstore owner) called Baby Unplugged. Baby Unplugged is a celebration of “old-school” experiences and icons of childhood, healthy and educational as a natural byproduct of a child’s desire to play, connect with caring people, and explore their world.

The dual mission to of the UnpluggedBox to promote shared reading and play, via the box itself and the books it contains.
