Baby Month: Joovy Room² Ultralight Playard

When we would travel with the girls we always had to lug around a big bulky playard for the girls and it was heavy and took forever to pop up.

The Joovy Room² Ultralight takes all of the popular features of Joovy’s Room² playard and addresses what parents have asked from Joovy – a lightweight version of the popular Room2.

The Room² Ultralight is over 30% lighter than the Room². The Room² Ultralight is 90% as big as the Room2 (it’s 9 square feet vs. 10 square feet). The difference is due to the tapered design of the side rails; the top rails are 4 inches narrower than the bottom rails. This design significantly increases the difficulty of climbing out of the playard and makes the Room² Ultralight extremely stable.

When my sister came out for Christmas she borrowed the Joovy Room² Ultralight and said she loved it. She told me it was so easy to set up and the travel bag is great! It was large enough for my niece to be comfortable in it and was a lifesaver.

The Room² Ultralight has two easy folding features, it can be quickly folded in half or folded compactly for travel. When folded in half, it takes up only 3.5 square feet of storage space… you can put it next to the wall, underneath the bed, behind the door or in a closet and it unsnaps back to full size in seconds!

Very nice…and like that it is lightweight.

I love that you can fold it up into a carry bag for easy transportation! I’m liking the bright color as well.

I am looking for one of these to replace an older one for when our new grandchild visits. The old one is HORRIBLE to fold and set up…this one looks safe, yet simple.

    thanks!

Thanks for the review. I have been considering this for our very tiny house. The price is a little high for something that looks so small and simple, but I think it’s worth it. It looks like a quality playyard that will be much easier to move and store than one of the larger ones with all of the bells and whistles. 🙂

Tank you for the review, Amanda. Mine was too old and i just donated to the other people. If I’m pregnant again oneday, maybe I’ll put this one on my baby registry!
