This week we went in for our anatomy scan! We were late to our appointment but they got us in quickly and our u/s tech was super fast. We were able to make out some of the pictures she was doing, and she also gave us quite a few to take home! At the very end of the u/s she confirmed we are still having a boy!
Since my last update not too much has changed. Not feeling so sick but feeling lots more movement! I still feel just really bloated over looking pregnant but that will change soon!
I can’t believe that we are now halfway done! I swear the past four months have gone by soooooo slow for me! At least the Holidays are here which means the months will fly by.
At our ultrasound she said the baby weighs about 9 ozs!
How your baby’s growing:
Your baby’s sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don’t be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of an heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid. – from babycenter.com
