I am so glad that we finally were able to transition Shelby into a Toddler Bed. She has been deathly scared of her crib since day one and has refused to sleep in it, even when we changed it to a toddler bed she still associated it with the crib. As soon as I received the new Canton Toddler Bed she was so excited.

Putting the bed together did take me about an hour. But I think half of it was because I had to keep chasing a toddler around trying to get parts from her. It is extremely important to read the entire instructions before trying to attempt to put this bed together. There are lots of screws and you don’t want to use the wrong one!

I really liked how the Canton Toddler bed had wood planks. They slid into place and over all the bed was super easy to put together.

The hardest part of putting the Canton Toddler Bed together was getting the head and foot of the beds to slide together keeping the center wood plank in place and attaching the supporting foot base.

But once together it is a beautiful bed and can be used for boys and girls! We did not attach the side rails as Shelby doesn’t need them anymore.

  1. My two year old son needs a big boy bed! I think we have a Delta transitional crib? I have to check in that.

  2. That is so super-cute. I will keep this in mind for when my niece goes to a bed from the crib. Thanks for sharing.

  3. We had the exact same bed for our boys and they loved it. We thought we’d have trouble with them getting out of bed to play after bedtime, but they loved the bed so much they stayed in it no problem!
