I have been a huge fan of aden + anais for as long as I can remember. After Shelby was born we started using the swaddle blankets the moment she was born.

I have them in so many colors and prints, some of my favorites is the bamboo swaddles. Some of theprints are gender neutral and can be used for many babies.

Recently I heard about  aden + anais new Hayden’s Heart Swaddle. Inspired by Hayden Dorset, a young boy who lost his battle with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) but touched the lives of many long after his time here on earth.

On March 12, 2012, Hayden was born with a very rare birth defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Much of Hayden’s time on earth was spent in and out of the hospital and after just 5 months with his family, Hayden passed away.

The Hayden’s Heart swaddle was inspired by Hayden after his mother, Ady, wrote Raegan Moya-Jones, CEO of aden + anais and mother of four herself, a beautiful letter sharing their story. Whether it was nap time or bedtime, Hayden couldn’t fall asleep without the comfort of his aden + anais muslin swaddles.

The mission of Hayden’s Heart is to not only raise Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) awareness and to help keep Hayden’s memory alive, but to also help many families with their immense medical bills and travel expenses, etc.

The aden + anais Hayden’s Heart Swaddle retails for $19.95 and come in Pink, Taupe, Green and Blue and can be purchased at  For more information on Hayden Dorset, his family and Hayden’s Heart, please visit

If you love aden + anais as much as I do I encourage you to get one of the beautiful Hayden’s Heart Swaddle.  A sweet simple design that holds a very special meaning.
