A Million Reasons to “Believe” with Macy’s *Giveaway*

Last year I shared about Macy’s Believe Campaign and this year they are at it again! This year, Macy’s is adding to the spirit of “Believe” with a national Santa Tour, an honorary National Believe Day, a “Yes, Virginia ” animated special, and a new TV commercial featuring Queen Latifah.

The nostalgic holiday campaign was inspired by the New York Sun’s famous “Yes, Virginia , there is a Santa Claus” editorial from 1897 and includes letter-writing “Believe Stations” in Macy’s stores across the country. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, up to $1 million.

I think this is a fantastic campaign. But I am wondering… Does someone read all the letters to Santa?

“I did not receive a product for this post. A Gift Card was supplied for giveaway purposes. All opinions are solely my own. Others who may use this product or service may have different opinions.”

WIN
ONE winner will receive a $50 dollar Gift Card to Macy’s.

  4. Carmen says:

I think this is a great cause (a letter = $1 corporate donation), so if I had young children, I probably would encourage them to write a letter for that reason, but I personally don’t like pushing the whole “Santa” thing very much.

My grands are funny. We have never used the Santa myth. And have told them that it is a fun story that people love but Santa does not fly around the world delivering presents. But year after year a least one wants to send a letter to Santa, I think it is just in case grownups are wrong. And we do let them participate in the myth. So off to Macy’s I will go to deliver Santa’s letter.

  46. Heather S says:

My nephew always does a letter to Santa so this is a great idea to bring it to Macys. My sister and I shop on Black Friday so we could do it then.

  47. April says:

My 10yr old daughter got roller skates for her september birthday and my 6-yr old daughter was so jealous that she suggested we put up the christmas tree that night so santa could bring her a pair. It was too funny! Thanks for the giveaway!
