A few tips to swapping out snacks for kids!
With the New Year upon us many families are making the change to include healthier snack options for their entire family! While we have been working hard on giving our kids different snacks we have started cutting out more sugary snacks…. but that doesn’t mean we have to completely cut out all snacks that taste good (and sweet!)
The New Year brings on a TON of activities for my kids, even though it’s winter and cold we still are running around I make sure to have plenty of snacks on hand for all three of my kids!
One of the easiest snacks to have on hand is Mott’s® Snack & Go! These applesauce pouches are easy to grab and put in the kids activity bags. From Ballet to Snowboarding they are great nutritious snacks.
Sarah loves to have Mott’s® Snack & Go in her school lunches and after school snacks. Each Snack & Go has 40 calories and no fat with only 8 grams of sugar.
What to Swap:
- Sugar cupcakes/bars
- candy
- breakfast pastries
Remember Applesauce is naturally sweetened from the apples! Kids will get a kick out of Mott’s® Snack & Go and wont be asking for those sugar pastries anymore (or at least less often).
Mott’s® Snack & Go is the nutritious applesauce kids love in a squeezable pouch they can take with them wherever they go. Mott’s is also the only applesauce brand with Box Tops for Education®, helping to support kids’ schools. Visit motts.com to learn more.

I am always looking for new and healthy snacks for my little grandson. He is the snack king! I think he would really like these.
This product looks delicious and healthy. My grandson would love it.
this is so important, too much junkfood and sugar in things not only kids eat but adults too. This year’s new years resolution has been to cut down on sugar and carbs, we already all feel so much better.
we as a society consume way too much sugar. these tips are very helpful!
The 1 thing I can say about my kids is they will happily eat fruits and veggies for snacks.
my daughter’s favorite snack is apple sauce. We like the one that has less sugar, i think she likes the texture. my 6 month old loves it too!
I love that these are easy enough for my two year old to manage on his own. Plus he gets a bit of fiber and vitamins that he wouldn’t get with a cookie.
my kids are definitely applesauce junkies. 🙂
Great idea- my daughter LOVES those pouches
My kids would love the Strawberry flavor and of course we cant forget to clip the boxtops!
Great idea. I’m all for fresh fruit and vegetables for kids. Less sugar is better in my book.
The only treats that I give our 8 yr old daughter are the mini Quaker Chewy Bars, or snack size fruit chewy (fruit by the foot/roll up, etc).
In addition, she will either hace a whole cucumber, or whole carrot, too.
I pack these in my son’s lunch box for preschool. He can’t seem to get enough of them! He always asks for it.
Strawberry applesauce sounds good.
I love Motts! I’ve loved it since I was little and can’t wait to share it with my little one!
my kids love apple sauce I started them early and we eat a lot of apple sauce
