50th Anniversary of Etch-A-Sketch

2010 is the 50th anniversary of the classic Etch-A-Sketch drawing toy! Founded n 1960, the Etch-A-Sketch is just as popular now as it was half a century ago, and the Ohio Art Company has sold more than 150 million units to date.

In honor of this landmark anniversary, the Ohio Art Company has teamed up with Red Robin to celebrate the iconic toy. During the month of July, Red Robin sponsored the “Etch-A-Sketch A Burger Contest”, which encouraged artists both young and old to draw their favorite burger on an Etch-A-Sketch and submit a photo of their drawing to RedRobin/etchasketch. Fifty contestants won a limited edition 50th Anniversary Etch-A-Sketch and a $50 Red Robin Gourmet Burgers gift card.

You can check out the 50 winners by going to the Etch A Sketch A Burger Winners.

You can also pick up a special 50th Anniversary Signature Edition Etch A Sketch. Etch-A-Sketch has recently made a Glow In The Dark version as well! We can’t wait to get our hands on the cool looking Glow In The Dark Etch-A-Sketch!
